Every religion has its own identity, and that is why Islam may not have the features you mentioned (such as speaking in tongues, prophesying, doing miracles, etc). Even some of these things are said to occur in some sects in Islam (like performing mircales), and others deny them - in just the same way that some Christians do not believe in miracles or the gift of the Holy Spirit.

jumaingirl.ALLAH exist because He created u.u dont hav to see Him,but if u carefully examine urself and d universe then u can recognise his presence.u asked series of questions in ur post.but i think u shuld knw dat even satan or a ritualist can do all these things u mentioned to decieve and gain followership.hence,if ur reason of being a christian is due to all these questions u asked then u ar lost because in d church business industry we hav seen series of pastors who ar evil but use all thiz things u mentioned to gain followership.am sure u knw thiz too.hence true faith does'nt depend on all thiz questions u asked.

Allah does exist, for the fact that you can't see him doesn't mean you shouldn't believe in him. . . There are quite a number of many things you can't see, and yet, you do believe in them. I don't know what you are tryin' to bring out, but i am quite sure a muslim that knows how to recite the Qur'an won't ask these questions. It's not all about miracle, islam isn't built on that, in fact, magic is a great sin. I'm so fortunate to have a fair knowledge about the qur'an and the bible, and i found out that there are so many correllations between the two. . .
Piety built on miracle isn't piety, it's just because of miracle.

Does Allah exist? This sound rhetorical to me. Though i did not know if the questionare is a muslim. But the fact that muslims do not perform miracles is not enough a reason for such a question because it is a sin in our religion. Secondly did you think there on God in you.if there is on God them forget your existence. There are many prayers in the Holy Quran that you can keep on to that is much vetuer than speaking in tongues, checking one's future. Wel if you need those prayers you can contact me on . Jumain Girl, I think the problem you have is with the nomenclature. Allah is the Islamic name for the creator. Are you saying you were not created? well, based on that Allah does exist. On the issue o miracles, I'd say that that is iverrated in christaindom. THe miracles have so much permeated congregations that the only reason people go to churches is because of miracles. I've heard series of adverts of churches inviting people to bring all their life troubles, barreness, unemployment, e.t.c, Should miracles be commercialised as such?

You also talked about speaking in tongues, even you cannot say you sometimes dont doubt the veracity of those who claim to speak in tongues.

Visions? The human mind is very imaginative and creative. Dont be deceived by such visions.

The gift of the holy spirit? Again, I believe thats a cretion of people's imaginative mind, because how do you tell if its the gift or mere act? Believe me, a good orator can convince you of anything.

Islam is a religion based on knowlege. The more you know, the better you are. And it is your knowledge that will make you experience God. We dont need any extraordinary act by some fake lots to make us see that God exists. We believe that everyone can make a connection with God by being pious.
