actors are just like footballers. yes, fans like their works but the icing on the cake is when they are appreciated by the authority over their art. Fifa for footballers and in this case, the awards committe.

Adam Sandler doesn't have an oscar, but he earns a lot and performs consistently in the box office. If an actor genuinely believes that an oscar is his ultimate reward, such an actor is simply a victim of hype. The oscar award is just another over-hyped popularity poll. It's 99% hype and 1% no-big-deal. Nairaland polls are better!
