April 5, 2017 – This Has To Be The Most Ambitious Teenager In Nigeria

Meet Samuel Robinson, The Most Ambitious Teenager In Nigeria Planning To Borrow N20Million From Fidelity Bank

So I came upon a post this morning On twitter where 18year old Actor Samuel Robinson asked with Such Audacity “Who has 20 million naira burning a hole in their pocket, Give me and I’ll return 1 Billion in 2 years”

I was stunned to see that such a young man could have such confidence, at first I thought it was a joke but he’d apparently serious and one of Nigeria’s primer banks Fidelity Bank has sent responses to him.

I think this is such a positive motivation for the youths that being young is no excuse to dream Big. Even if he doesn’t get the money, I’m sure this will inspire a lot of young Nigerians to step up. We need more youths thinking like this to move Nigeria forward instead of waiting on the Government.

At age 18, this boy can already speak English, Yoruba, French, German and Spanish. He just might be on to something… Maybe our Nigeria Bill Gates in the making LOL

Attached are screenshot of what Samuel posted and Fidelity Bank’s response (which he also posted on his Instagram)

You're right; the young man's boldness is commendable.

However there could also be zeal without knowledge.

Even after Fidelity Bank openly invited him to submit a business plan, what was his response?

Exactly; he didn't follow up on that (or has he?)

To convince serious people to invest in you, you need more than mere boasts.

Sadly, what many young people today offer as business plans are just promises: "I swear, I will not run with your money. Just give me your money and see. You'll get your N1bn. No joke."

And that is NOT a bankable business plan

What I heard is that Fidelity was asking him to go and take a loan... They weren't actually interested in funding his plan.

I'm sure he has a business plan.. .thiS boy will be tweeting at 3am about how he is still awake working on his plan. I don't think he would have just tweeted this without having a plan... Lol it's like you haven't heard of Samuel Robinson, he does not do anything unprepared Or halfheartedly.... Do research and see smiley

There's only so much he could have put inside de tweet. Maybe he was hoping that someone serious would invite him for a meeting... I just confirmed, he went to Fidelity... They were offering him a loan just like they offer everyone else but he was looking for investors not a loan. Sad though... I mean if an 18year old can have the discipline to learn Spanish, French and German, he should know what he's talking about. I pray he get the money sha... smiley

If he can turn N20m to N1b in 2 years, he should first turn his N20,000 to N2 million in 6 months.

This is Samuel Robinson. A friend sent me this and although I try not to get involved in press material that I didn't organize (I didn't post this... But thank you to who ever did, I appreciate your love and support), I will make an exception here.

I address the issues that caught my attention in the paragraphs below.

1. This individual claims that I "posted" my Business Plan on Twitter, this is inaccurate. Yes, i have posted severally on how hard I am working and the sleepless nights I'm having, but, I never and would never post my intellectual property on social media. Even my very limited "Friends" who are privy to the plan must sign a "Non Disclosure Agreement".

You probably are following the wrong twitter account, my account handle is samuelrobinsonx and it verified so you know it's me. There are many impersonators out there, sorry for the misunderstanding but whomever "tweeted" a business plan, was not me. smiley

2, Your analysis is inaccurate because it is not based on solid facts but on assumptions. I do not know you and we have never conversed at length. In summary your observations are based on speculation.

Perhaps I posted something or said something in an interview that was taken out of "context" to give you this impression, I apologize. You have a very wrong linear impression of me reflected in this post and this is simply not who I am.

There's a quote by Steve Jobs (Founder of Apple) that I love, it goes:

"Here is to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the trouble makers, the round pegs in the square holes, the ones who see things differently, they're not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo, you can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them but the one thing you cannot do is ignore them because they change things, they push the human race forward and while some might see them as the crazy ones, we see genius because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do. "

Keep in mind that Microsoft, Dangote, Forte Oil, Snapchat and many others began as an idea that was developed into a carefully detailed strategy in a young person's head. Today they are multi-billion dollar corporations.

The point your diatribe seems to climax on can be deduced from your statement " If he can turn 20m to 1bn in 2years, he should first turn his 20,000 into 2million in 6months". It is evident from this that you share a doubt that most people reciprocate which is that 'How can an 18year old person get 1billion in 2years' your doubts are valid and not unfounded because you haven't seen my business plan. My friends shared similar doubts until I outlined the strategy to them.

Saying I should start with 20,000 Naira is like telling a carpenter who has been commissioned to roof a 15 bedroom mansion to go ahead and get the project done with just 'one Nail'.

While I appreciate your caution and not very well constructed critisism, the simple fact is that I have not shared my plans with you, you do not know enough to criticize me or my plans. It's actually logical, "How can you criticize the feasibility of a plan you have not seen?"

Should you be a 'Serious' investor and want to expand your perspective of me, I wouldn't be more than willing to meet with you (after you sign a Non Disclosure Agreement of course) to enlighten you why I strongly believe that I am on the path to building 'The Corporation's of the future. Should I get an investors or not, I will still implement my strategies, it just might take me a bit more time. I can be contacted by email address samuelrobinsonao@gmail.com

Thank you.
Same Robinson.

Oh well, Samuel Robinson, I admire your courage to be honest.

I think you have all it takes to convince potential investors. Only thing is you could have made your desire known without necessarily stating the seemingly unachievable ROI. That's the issue I have with your post. To you it might be achievable, but to a real investor, it would be doubted and probably seen as one of those wishful thoughts of the average Nigerian youth. The average Nigerian youth believes he can make N30bn by merely being a good Samaritan to a rich man.

I will be more than willing to sign the NDA (I do this a lot with clients), as an observer/analyst/critic, not an investor. I'm sure you'd appreciate my input, especially on your financial plan (revenue projection).
