Nigerian Prince”, a proposed movie on email scammers, has won a $1 million AT&T grant at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The movie, written and directed by Nigeria’s Biyi Bandele and Oscar Hernandez-Topete, was announced winner on April 20, at the film festival in New York.

According to media reports, AT&T will provide funding of up to $1 million for Bandele to create his movie.
Tribeca will also provide mentorship from seasoned industry professionals.
The telecommunications giant also plans to distribute the winning film across several of its video platforms.

Nigerian Prince is based on the notorious email scams from Nigerians.
It’s centred on a stubborn Nigerian-American teenager sent back to Nigeria against his will.
Things take another turn when he joins forces with an internet scammer in order to return to the United States.

Bandele is a Nigerian novelist, playwright and filmmaker.

ROFL, this is another subtle way of labelling a dog with a bad name....The content and Nigeria name that will be dragged in the mud is what they are paying for.

AT&T have had a long time contract managing Yahoo but until recent when they pulled out and Verizon have to buy Yahoo for $4.8billion. Prior to this, Yahoo have been having a serious threat ranging from mail spamming, Password leak, and Security breach that compromised up to 500 million accounts.

I hope you still remember the notorious scamming email of "the Nigerian Prince".. grin grin..

They are paying to put the nail on the coffin and finally label Nigeria and Nigerians as Scammers.

Congratulations to the Producer.. But... embarassed
