Losing your job can be devastating . However, this is the time to reflect on your career so far. There are many ways to deal with job loss .The following are how to deal with the situation.

Take a vacation: sounds crazy right? Going on vacation is one of the best ways to take your mind off your previous experience. By moving away from the environment where you previously worked for some time, it gives you the ability to relax your mind thereby giving you fresh start ability. In this period, you need to empty your mind so as to embrace new thoughts and perspectives.

Update your contact information: If you have a good relationship with clients where you previously worked, it is the time to let them know your new contacts-email, phone number etc if they are different from the one they had. Research has shown that most clients love to help a staff of a company that left the company that offer them services especially if such sacked staff had cordial relationship with them. Apart from that, if you want to start your business, they can either get you clients or even give you projects to handle without necessarily pitching for such.

Talk to your friends and previous colleagues: It is better you let them know that you are currently not working and opened to new job offers so that they can connect you to places where there are vacancies or tip you up when there is any job opening in where they work.

Start your business: The only way to have financial freedom to have control of your money and the only way to have control of your income flow is to have your business. I have never seen any man or woman become rich by working for someone else. You can only be comfortable working for other companies, you cannot be rich without investing in your personal business. This is the right time to also kill fears, I have realised that many people can even do better when they run their business than working for others, but fears will not make them take actions to start. Come to think of it, most CEOs only get the contract and the execution is left to you as a staff, if you can execute contracts for your employer effortlessly, that means you will do excellently well with your business, take a BOLD step.
