Proprietor,Christian Millionaires Club,Pastor Michael Spring Inyang is to spend the next four years behind bars after Judge Olubunmi Oyewole of the Lagos High Court found him guilty on a 17 count charge filed against him the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC). The pastor who used the name of God to defraud hundred of his followers began his scam in 2006 when he registered an organisation known as Christian Millionaires Club through which he persuaded his victims to part with their resources with an assurance that bountiful rewards await them here on earth and in heaven. The convict also told his victims that his club was affiliated to a popular christian body in the United States and as such whatever they contribute would be rewarded in manifold at the end of the year. This led many victims to sell their property while some borrowed money from the banks to invest in the club,according to media statement by Head, Media and Publicity,EFCC,Femi Babafemi. However,almost immediately Pastor Inyang's life changed for the better as he moved from a one-room apartment in Egbeda to a duplex in a choice area of Lagos,buying state of the art cars to complement his new status. But his congregation's hope was dashed at the end of the year as Inyang was nowhere to be found. The case was reported to the EFCC in 2007 and the convict was later arrested. If I promised you a fantastic return on your money, would you invest with me? Probably not, as you would think this is a 419er in action. If on the other hand, I call myself Pastor (or Evengelist, Bishop, Elder, Prophet, Imam etc) Zodiac and put God into the equation, a lot of mugus would rush in. I am sure that the only reason those fools invested their money (probably ill-gotten anyway) with the 'anointed man of God' is because God had told him that their money would be multiplied 20 times over. Why did the EFCC get involved? What work would the investors have done to earn the fantastic amounts they were looking forward to. Pastor Inyang should have being given an award for defrauding the greedy fools who sought to make make something out of nothing.  (I laugh in tongues) |

@mrPrsdent: that grammar portrays the 'sanctimoniousmess' and sacredocus esteem of God given life on earth; which is under very strict order to be allowed to exist for the soul's sole owner - 'Yahweh El-Olam, YHWH Eloheenu'.
