Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi says he'll continue to accord respect to Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, released a statement saying he will not stop being respectful to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, regardless of what happened at a social function they both attended recently in Lagos. According to the Monarch, he wasn't faced by Oba Akiolu’s action or inaction and still holds him in high regards.

Also, adding that he is still very committed to ensuring unity among all traditional rulers in the land. Oba Ogunwusi made this known through the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni’s Palace on Wednesday. Oba Ogunwusi said:

“Nobody should castigate anybody” for doing what he did because of the position he holds and because of his age… Ooni would not stop to accord his colleagues and every other category of people the respect they deserve.
