Which useless ultimatum. There is no security in this country and that is the bedrock of breeding terrorists. Having said that the nigerian bomb guy was not bred in Nigeria and his father reported to the relevant authorities.

What a disoriented country. It's like Nigeria no longer has an identity.

The spineless leaders are issuing ultimatums to the U.S. when they can't cough up their own useless President.

Let them continue to issue empty threats from behind their equally empty desks, straight from empty heads. 7 days will come and go and we will all be witnesses.

This is a very clear case of failure of leadership, for the moment the blowing-up plot was foiled,if we had a president on his seat,he would have called up Obama and both parties would've worked greatly behind the scenes on the Mutallab case, therefore it's highly unlikely that Obama's govt would've gone ahead to blacklist Nigeria

After 7 days they will share a new sum of money among Senators for their hard work 'opposing' the US.

The fact is, there are terrorists from your president's home state - if you check hard enough, there will be a link between Yardie's family and the Mutallabs. In essence, even the head of Nigeria is implicitly involved in terrorism. Did Yardie not declare Shari'a in Katsina as well?

See what having a lame duck president and a cowardly VP have caused. I hope they frisk the pot bellies of the greedy Nigerian politicians and give them anal examinations on their flights to the US.

something like this has been coming for a long time.  The only reason that the U.S. didn't look back when they made the decision is that Nigeria is not considered to be a functioning nation to them.  They know about all the problems in Nigeria. If Nigeria had something that looked like a government this probably would not have happened but it did. When you have militancy in the south b/c govt doesnt care, religious fighting in north, no infrastructure, no electricity, no jobs,  what do you think will happen to a country in that state. An idle mind is the devil's workshop.

If Nigeria really wants to be respected by nations around the world and not be bullied around, the domestic issues need to be tackled. If the U.S. saw that the govt. was trying and working for the people, then I think they would have more confidence that Nigeria could fend off those trying to use the country as a terrorist training/launching ground.

The only reason these hooligans in the Nigerian govt are complaining is because they will somehow be affected by the new policy.  When was the last time the Nigerian govt. defended Nigerians being harrassed or murdered abroad?

We just all need to realize that we don't really have a government in Nigeria. A government is suppose to care for and provide the needs of its citizens but we get none of that in naija.

So without a government what makes us think that al-qaeda can't forcefully influence northern parts of naija to become more radical.

It would definitely not be in Nigeria's favor to be on the bad side of the U.S. If the U.S. goes, most of its european allies may follow suit ,which then leaves nigeria with russia and china.

IT'S A RIGHT STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION,BUT AS TO BE HANDLED CAREFULY,MY FEAR IS DAT MOST OF OUR LEADERS ARE DUMPS AS THEY CLD BEGIN TO TREATING THE STATES TO REMOVE NIGERIA ON THE LIST OR ELSE, BLA BLA,
THE STATES HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DO ANYTHIN TO PROTECT THEIR PEOPLE UNLIKE OUR FOOLISH LEADERS WHO SIT AND WATCH NIGERIAN POLICE KILL NIGERIANS,
I THINK AT THIS STAGE THEY SHOULD ALLOW THE VOICES OF NIGERIAN ASSOCIATIONS IN DIASPORA TAKE MORE VOICE,,PLEAD WITH THE STATES AND PROVE THE FACT THAT THE BOY CARRIED THE ACT WHILE OUTSIDE NIGERIA AND FOR THE FACT DAT THE FATHER ALSO LODGED COMPLAIN, I THINK THIS WILL MAKE A GOOD CASE FOR NIGERIA,INSTEAD OF OUR BRAINLESS SENATORS AND REPS TALKING ABOUT AMERICA LOOSING DIPLOMATIC BLA BLA BLA,
COME TO THINK OF IT WHO WLD LOOSE MORE INTERMS OF DIPLOMATIC FACTORS NIGERIA OF COS, OIL WILL NOT BE PURCHASED FROM NIGERIA, ALOT OF NIGERIANS HAVE ENJOYED VISA LOTTERY BENEFICT IT WILL NO MORE BE THE CASE,ALOT OF NIGERIANS WHO HAVE BIN DOING NIGERIA PROUD IN THE STATES WILL BE REDICULED,
I THINK THEY SHOULD BE CARFUL ABOUT THE ISSUE AS WE ALL KNO THAT IF OUR GOVT TRIES ANY FUNNY TALKS THEN THEY COULD BEGIN TO LINK GBOKO ARAM ISSUES TO AL-QEEDA, AND THEN NIGERIA AFRICAN AMERICAN ENEMY NUMBER 1

What created the environment for the terrorism? Has Yardie done what is necessary to firm up the borders and security within Nigeria? Did he support Shari'a and implicitly support extremism in Northern Nigeria?

Did Yardie's direct reports in the NIA and SSS who KNEW this boy was a threat prevent him from flying to the US? Did they subject him to extra scrutiny as necessary?

As far as I'm concerned, Yar'adua has a responsibility to protect and defend Nigeria's image and interests - the abysmal failure to do that is a clear case of IMPLICIT complicity in this mess.

I am 100 percent sure , Allah!! America's Infiltration into Nigeria has got nothing to do with that Bomb Attack , OBAMA is one of the most Inteligent propagandist You will ever hear of , all these has been Planned right from the time they discovered the treasures In Nigeria , If you dont Know pls know that NIGERIA has been In their review since 1960 , Since britain left us Alone ,

Now this is the time they feel very deemed to eat and devour us , CIA , FBI , OBAMA wow they are making a Good use of this Opportunity , thanks to the fact that Our dear president is In bed ( he might even Know about all these ) They did this to Afghanistan can't u see ?? Pls read more about the Cold War ( KUWAIT , IRAQ , PALESTINE) they caused trouble in these countries , Now they left a delegate to "take care of matters" as Bush said .

, Mutallabs of this World , Cursed may ur soul and future Generation be , ( Planned or not ) he brought this death Blow on us , Everybody expect more to come this is Just the Beginning of the End , Americans will make a Good Use of this Opportunity , Sadly the senate can do nothing about it , it's Like crying Over spilt Milk , undecided undecided

Even Analyst in USA (whites ) are surprised at How Abdul mutallab could get so close to the Attempted -Bombing , after detailed reports to the embassy , CIAs , FBIs , INTERPOLs , America should start crying over their rendered-useless  security . Remember when Obama had a Dinner party Uninvited Guests Gained Access to the Almighty WHITE HOUSE  shocked can't you see something is wrong somewhere ?

This classification is unfair and bias, in reality if such classification should exist in the first place America and UK should top the list. What are the basis and criteria for such assumption? the US army that that decided to kill 12 people in the name of Allah is not a terrorist, or the UK grown that almost boombed London yrs back , what do we call them? Hmmmm the classification should be religion base not countries ,

Umar Farouk's behaviour is not reflective of Nigeria and should therefore not be used as a yardstick to judge all Nigerians. He was not influenced in Nigeria, he was not recruited or trained in Nigeria, he was not supported whatsoever in Nigeria , so why the blacklist , Americans are mad

But there are worse people than Mutallab in Nigeria - the killers of Southerners and Christians in the North have been perpetrating the act for years and still do so and get away scot free - they attack police stations, they kill government officials, they reject the authority of the central government and want to implement their own rules for themselves. People who march carrying pictures of known terrorists in the middle east from Hizbollah, Al Queda and so on.

Can you see the similarities to other terrorist groups? This is very taliban like and comparable to what they are doing to Pakistan. The US would be foolish to not to act on this budding threat.

The USA will always stay relevant dear, best believe that. Be careful what you wish for or you might just get it. China is a very very racist country; at least the US has a big mixture of black, white, hispanics, native Americans etc that have intermarried and are living in harmony. China on the other hand has no respect for other cultures or ethnicity's because they think their short asses are superior to everyone. Black professionals living in China find it very hard to find jobs, Job ads in China on numerous occasions will state "this job is for whites only, no blacks please" Are these the kind of people Nigerians want to do business with? When they bring their businesses to Nigeria, they will ship in a whole lot of Chinese people to work in their offices because of how much they detest blacks. Not that anything is wrong with this, however any foreign company that wants to do business in Nigeria must hire Nigerian workers.

Read the below story of a heart wrenching half black/half Chinesegirl living in China, They call her Chocolate Nigger monkey.
