Our government is just trash, when they take over from another party they will abandon their project. Nigeria has miss it when it comes to leading/leader

Politicians don't care whether what they build is functional after a few weeks.

All they care about is, complete the project, take pictures for propaganda purpose and leave the project to rotten away.

A lot of elephant projects all around.

This reminds me of the Nkoyo Ibori Children referral hospital; project was built and completed, but never used for once. Heard the controversy was over Ibori's insistence on naming the hospital after his wife then.

After years of abandonment, the grass overgrown centre was eventually used as hostel for repented militants waiting to collect their N65,000 stipends. If I say Delta state is cursed, somebody would attack me, so I hold my peace.

This is a real example of wastage. That site could have been converted and used for something more beneficial to the people but you know; our rulers must do brand new projects to show they are working. But we also know the main draw!

Almost all the Niger Delta States have double problems.
Buhari/North are not the problem, give Delta state $10trn for free it will. Still not develop.

The place looks nice they ought to sell it. I'm sure private operater would be better. I don't know why Nigerian government so incompetent with running if these businesses. Seriously you have a pool in a tropical place where it's always summer. When my brother and I were at Uyo we played basketball at gym daily. We didn't swim because water was so dirty you'll come out mutated.

you might be right but I also feel citizens should do the barest minimum to take care of assets in their locations.... a similar structure like this was built by spdc at yenegoa, bayelsa state. we went there for a rural development programme. it was outgrown with weeds. when we inquired from the community leaders, their response was: "Shell no give us money to take care of the place".....take a moment and imagine that

Can the State Government be generous enough to convert it to home for the less privileged?

I sure die say people wey go benefit no go ever forget the administration wey introduce that initiative.

Nah! They should just clear the weeds, bring in new medical equipment and personnel, and convert it to a hospital. It would make more sense....and benefit more people, including the elderly sad
