Imo Receives N100bn From Fg - Soludo by ichommy(m): 12:08pm On Jan 06, 2010
The former Central Bank governor and gubernatorial candidate in Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has revealed that Imo State has received over N100 billion as special grants from the Federal Government.

Soludo said this on Tuesday in Awka, when Dr. Alex Ekwueme led some members of Old Aguata Forum to meet with some people from Anambra North for an alliance that would support Soludo’s governorship ambition at the House of Chief Mike Nwakalu.

While trying to convince them on the need to vote for the PDP, Professor Soludo, quoting Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, said that the Ikemba himself talked about the need for the Igbos to join the mainstream politics. Soludo said that Governor Ikedi Ohakim had been able to attract over N100 billion as grants from the Federal Government since he joined the PDP.

Soludo, who argued that Governor Obi had tried, said that he was better qualified to lead Anambra State than other contestants.

And we accept this as the right thing? That the money received for development of a state where tax-paying citizens reside is tied to the political party the state governor belongs to?

Absolute rubbish. Anyway, we all know the 'gains' Anambra has received from the PDP so far - Sorrow, tears and Blood!
