APC BLASTS ABIA STATE CAUCUS FOR REJECTING ORJI We read the outrageous statement attributed to the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Stanley Ohajiriuka in which he summarily banned and foreclosed the chances of Senator Theodore Orji from ever joining our great party with greatest shock and bewilderment. First of all, no party member or caucus as the case may be has the sole power to reject any citizen of Nigeria who wished to join any political party of his or her choice without approval from the National Working Committee of the party or relevant authority. Second, our party is not a secret organisation but a political party meant for all progressives in the country. Where were the so-called 'APC Caucus' in Abia State in the last Presidential election when all the votes that President Muhammadu Buhari could garner from the state was only 13, 394 votes as against the PDP who got 368, 303 votes. It is ridiculous to note that some group of political rent-seekers who only joined our great party after President Buhari had won the election are the same people calling themselves 'APC Caucus' and are rejecting those who intend to join the party. Haven endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for re-election in 2019, it is incumbent upon us to embrace politicians whom we believe can help us to deliver the Southeast geopolitical zone to Mr. President ahead of the 2019 Presidential election. In lieu of this, we call on Senator Theodore Orji and others who wished to join our great party to do so without wasting time again. Our position is in line with the position of the National Chairman of our great party, Chief John Oyegun who recently urged Nigerians and supporters of the party to take advantage of the on-going registration of new members to become bonafide APC members.
