The #NotTooYoungToRun Bill is a bill sponsored by Hon. Tony Nwulu at the House of Representatives and Senator AbdulAziz Nyako at Senate.
The bill seeks to alter Sections 65, 106, 131, 177 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) to reduce the age qualification for the
* Office of the President from 40 years to 30 years;
* Governor 35 to 30;
* Senate 35 to 30;
* House of Representatives 30 to 25 and
* State House of Assembly 30 to 25.

Sure it's good. In the USA the age qualifications are lower. It's not about age but policies. Of Nigerians spent more time listening to actual issues they won't be taken for a ride.

Age is not the problem, rather what they should focus on is how qualified the candidate is. If a 21 year old is more qualified to run for an office than a 60 year old, the 21-year old should be allowed to run.

Personally i do not believe there should be an age limit as long as the person is an adult, he/she should be fully allowed to participate fully in the Nigerian democracy. It is ironic that an 18-year old should be allowed to vote but not be allowed to be involved in making decisions to move his/her country forward.

I believe our vision as youths must be clearly tailored towards bringing a meaningful, diversified system of governance in Nigeria. With this in mind, other youths can easily be convinced.
