Hi everyone, my fervent prayer is that they open their borders before july, so that all of us can carry our kaya and leave this Nigeria and be doing patriotism from the abroad too in Jesus name. Amen.

Please anybody in Charles Darwin University? I initially applied to the university of wollongong but them bounce me (I have made an appeal and is waiting for a decision though) so my agency (BCIE) applied to Charles Darwin, while we wait; but I have not seen anything so far on here about the school. I am now thinking that the school isnt all that.

I will really appreciate opinions and input from you all, thank you in advance.

oh! my first degree is agric sci with a major in soil science and my intended course for postgrad is environmental science/management.

Any hope with the border status?
I'm lost on what next to do. I've accepted my offer at UTAS and deferred to July but I'm still waiting for the confirmation.
Is it advisable to pay for fees when I get the confirmation and proceed with visa application with the way things are at the moment?

Thanks Fam...

Happy Sunday Fam...

Please how is the first fee payment made? (I need a little guide on that please)
Can someone in US make the payment for me or is it better to pay from Nigeria?

Lastly, any hope via the border opening soon?

Thank you...

You can pay from anywhere. When generating the invoice, you will let them know where the money is coming from and who is paying for easy tracking

Greetings wonderful people!

I have come again ooo with something I've asked here before now.
I'm confused, my agent is confused and many people are confused but I know that the great people we have here are not confused...(smiles).

All I'm trying to ask again is, what's our fate via the opening of border? Is July possible?

Thank you Sir(s)/Ma(s)...

Sorry about the bouncing and I hope your appeal comes out favourably!

Meanwhile, CDU is a good uni and the only Australia uni to welcome back 70 international students in late October or so since the introduction of hard border restrictions in March due to COVId-19.

But I strongly advise applying to Al1 university's, if the applicants/sponsor(s) does not have a strong statement of account.

Hi Vick, no one knows!

Everything in the media is pure speculations but I remain hopeful the boarder should be open in July cause vaccination is ongoing!

Thank you Josh!
The appeal didn't come out well o because according to them, my first degree (soil science) is not relevant to earth and environmental sciences for masters; that I need to have studied geology, geography, earth science or an environmental related course. I strongly believe say na ment. My agency said I should look for an alternative course incase CDU comes back negative too. I'm thinking agricultural economics/ agribusiness but I didn't even find any of the two on SOL. It's not even offered in majority of the schools that the agency is affiliated with (the ones I've checked, I mean).

I'm gearing into a state of confusion and I really just need inputs and opinions from you guys, please. What alternative course that is related to agriculture can I study? Thank you all in anticipation. The agriculture I want to run away from no gree leave me.

This Al1 thing never gree me understand well cos I've seen here on this thread that some people that applied to some of those schools have still had SOA requested from them.

Well, if I where in your shoes. I would be able to convince the CO and also show the relationship linking Soil Science to Environmental Sciences, Geology, Geography and even Civil engineering in my Gte.

Also, I'll lay emphasis on while Environmental science is an upgrade to my Bsc soil science by telling a story with appropriate references showing how Nigeria being a oil producing country is always suffering from oil spillage(even recently a Dutch appeals court has ruled that the Nigerian branch of oil giant Shell is responsible for damage caused by leaks in the Niger Delta and has been ordered to pay compensation bills) and how your background in soil science and an Msc Environmental science will put you in a better position to educate and stop/reduce such occurrences.

I would have also used the pandemic has a pain point cause now more than ever, all countries all over the world(including Nigeria with wour huge population) need to increase their food production, so we need more farmers and my background in soil science and Msc Environmental science from a first world country, will put me in the driving force to attain increase in food production when I get back to Nigeria after completing my Msc.

Mehn, I've a whole lot in my brain to write in that Gte cause the relationship between the 2 courses exist, you can even check and read up the rules and regulations guiding soil scientists, geologist, civil engineers, geographers and environmental sciences in Nigeria and Australia cause I'm sure this courses have a national and regulatory body.

You can also convince the CO on how soil plays an important role in everything called environment/habitat needed for human survival from food production, to building to petrochemicals and co.

My point is, your Gte was not strong proof and so it was unable to convince whoever that's in charge the revelance of soil science to Environmental science.

Meanwhile, whatever course you choose make sure its in the SOL and from my research agriculture is in high demand in Australia and I read few weeks/months back how, Australia crops are perishing because of absence of immigrants that are supposed to come in with work visa to help them harvest the crops due to the boarder restrictions.

Good morning to everyone one here, I am new here but I’ve gone through this thread a bit and I must commend your good works of helping each other out.

I have just decided to move to Australia with my husband and 1 child. I have a bachelor and masters degree in Architecture and I am also licensed to practice the profession in Nigeria. And I am also 31 years of age.

I would have loved to try for PR through the Skilled independent visa but one of the conditions of that visa is that the applicant must not be married hence the education route.

My question now is Most of the universities offering courses I can Upskill with are very expensive, so I’m looking at TAFES, but the diplomas seem like a downgrade to my already existing qualifications, will this in anyway affect my study VISA application also considering my age and what are the chances of subsequently getting PR after completing the program.

Hopefully awaiting advice on this matter

Please, can I message you privately?

I just finished talking to the admissions office and still insisted that soil science is an environmental related course and therefore think the rejection is unfair and unwarranted. I went on to ask that if my personal statement wasn't good enough and hence the rejection. The lady said it had nothing to do with my personal statement and that what I will need to do is contact the faculty directly via mail and outline the relevant courses I took at undergrad and explain them to show correlation with earth and environmental science. I am waiting for day to break well so that I contact my department's HOD from uni and request for her assistance on the issue. That is where I am right now and wanted to put it out here.

P.s I have contacted you via email. Thank you so muchh.

That marriage information is false. There is no condition as such for skilled migration visa.
You can still go for the skilled migration program if you have good years of experience

hello guys, i have a few questions to ask everyone.

I intend to study in Australia and i have begun the process with an agency.

I am trying to study at Griffiths Uni. Pre Masters because i have an HND The admissions requirement does not require English Test.. WAEC or NECO is sufficient. Do you think it might hurt my visa chances if i do not write one.
Also what are your general advice for me. I will be willing to learn. Thank you guys

Good afternoon everyone here, I got an offer letter from western Sydney university with a scholarship of $6000 per annum.

Anyone is in western Sydney university here, I hope it’s good, I told my Agent to apply to regional schools but he said they turn down my application because have been refused twice in Canada.

I just wish that we're allowed to make our applications without going through an agent.

Personally, I know how I have pushed things on my own by sending direct mails to schools which has been helpful because I have observed that most agents do not follow things up as it should be.

Let me not talk about the little mistakes from their end that affects applications directly or indirectly which I have also experienced.

I received my deferment letter in my mail yesterday after having pushed from my end, in fact, I informed my agent (who have access to my portal to accept my offer and apply for deferment on my behalf) that I have received a revised offer which they said wasn't sent to my portal after the school informed me that they sent since 3rd March.

If you can, try and push somethings on your own through mails because it's necessary when need be.

The vibe on this platform has been insightful and THANKS to all those that have always made out time to encourage us in everything...

I don't understand. How can your Canadian visa refusal affects your school admission for that matter. I thought this can only affect visa application in a place like USA because I learnt that USA and Canada used to exchange informations alot.
