If you don’t quit believing God and His word, your enemies will be found to be liars to you. One of the biggest problems Christians must resist in these days is that feeling you get to quit and give up when you get tired and frustrated on the road of life. One of our goals in life should be to keep God’s word deep in our hearts so that we can develop a fighting spirit. Faith is not just a set of facts that we receive in church, write down and repeat to ourselves, it is a fight inside us. A force inside you that fights for what is yours and won't give up.

The devil’s goal and assault is to get you to a place that you hand over to him. This tendency and that temptation can happen to anybody, no matter your title, age or how long you have been born again, if you don’t have the word of God in you the way you should. Nothing that is yours will be given to you without you fighting for it. So, if you are not willing to fight for what is yours, you must be willing to settle for what is not yours. Life is either going to give you what you accept or what you fight for. What life will offer you will be less than and different from what God has planned for you, but if you determine to get what God has planned for you, there will be a fight.

There are some forces that will not yield easily. The devil wants to know whether you are aware of what is yours and after he knows that, he checks whether you are willing to fight for it. So, it is possible for you to know what is yours but if you are not willing to fight for it, your life will be full of pains. The devil does not want the will of God to come to pass in your life. It is to the advantage of the devil that the will of God for your life does not happen and he will keep fighting that. May you develop the right mindset to fight for what is yours!

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to wage effective warfare and claim all that is mine in Jesus’ name. Amen.
