DAILY TIMES MARKS 91-YEARS source: http://www.eyesoflagos.com/2017/05/daily-times-marks-91-years.html The Daily Times newspaper is marking its 91st anniversary with a vow to reclaim its former position as the country’s leading tabloid. The Daily Times of Nigeria (DTN), which was established in 1926 flourished to become the nation’s most widely read newspaper. The Daily Times publisher and Editor in Chief, Mr Fidelis Anosike, who unveiled the 91st anniversary programme during a press briefing in Abuja Tuesday, said his team was working to return the newspaper to the number 1 position in the next two years. “Daily Times as a known brand is easy to recreate. We are doing the recreation with passion. In the next 24 months, Daily Times will become number 1,” Anosike said. He said as part of the programme, the Daily Times would stage an exhibition under the theme, ‘Nigeria through the Times,’ simultaneously in Abuja and Lagos from 3 to 6 pm on May 16, 2017 and then a Times Hero Awards in Abuja from 6.30 pm same day.
