Rilwayne001:And now that he's no more there, how far? Almost $15'000 that were found in Ikoyi recently, have they been able to find the real owner? What about the building where the money was found, who owns it? Where's the cash now? In whose possession is the money? You don't know I guess, and no explanation or account has been detailed to you as to how the money was appropriated; That's the one that attracted our attention because of a whistle blower, and I know they would have been looking for the whistle blower to kill, that's if they've not secretly killed him. In the middle of 2016, Buhari had presented a N6.3tr budget to the Senate for approval which was approved; again in 2017 a budget of N7.1tr was drafted, I didn't mention the one for 2015; now of all these trillions, where is the effects? Where's the monies? Who are with the monies? The highest budget Jonathan had presented to the Senate was N4.8tr and that was in 2014, and effects could be seen in the Almajiri schools he built, 18k minimum wage, 19k NYSC allawee just to mention as a bit to real things. And here you foolishly talking nonsense all because you heard that Jonathan is to hated and just started hating and can't explain why you're hating. 1 Like

omohayek:which ordinary nigerians do you mean sire?the "teeming almajiri supporters"?or the other half down south blinded by ethnicity?truth is nothing much would change until this country is restructured, the man in abuja can do his best for 4 years or 8 at most, before someone else comes along and "undo whats on ground", what about the state and local gov?do they have any role in nation building and economic dev?till we get the right people in state and local govt offices everything would be a joke at the centre |

ztapi:I mean all Nigerians, as no part of the country is exempt from this sick way of thinking. I can't remember the last time any Nigerian elections, at any level above the local government, have been about actual policies and governance, rather than ethnicity and religion. As for what to do about the problems affecting the other tiers of government, my own solution is simple: the country needs to move from a system wherein 36 mostly parasitical states subsist off "federal allocation" money obtained from oil rents, to LGAs and states becoming self-supporting units, and most of the current responsibilities of the FG are devolved downwards to the lowest possible levels. The FG should limit itself to truly "national" priorities such as defense, foreign relations, currency management, etc., and its budget should be reduced to fit with that limited slate of responsibilities. In turn, the states and LGAs should be required to raise their own revenues from taxation, which will give their citizens stronger incentives to closely monitor the quality of their performance. The current Nigerian presidency and FG are far too powerful. Reduce the powers and revenues of the FG, and the allure of the presidency diminishes accordingly, which will in turn reduce the obsession with zoning and "our turn" nonsense. 2 Likes 1 Share |

sarrki:So you are married yet you stay up late in the night into the morning overseeing posts that relate to Buhari? Also running multiple accounts to defend Buhari for free? Please spare us the sob story. You are a hussler and part of a small group in this forum. You don't just stick to politics only but spread your tentacles to other sections as well. I respect your hussle. Always remember to hussle safely. 3 Likes |

He-diots! Nobody is considering competency, nobody is considering leadership qualities, not even track records, they are busying themselves with geographical regions. How has that moved us closer to promised land. Awon hoeloshelu radarada 2 Likes |

sarrki: You are obsessed with him, simple. Which is the reason you can't assess his policies objectively. Plus the bmc benefit comes in handy, otherwise I don't know which kind of person will voluntarily create 704 topics defending government just like that. As gbegemaster has said, it's okay to hussle, just hussle safely, and of course be ready for the consequences too. Eod. 3 Likes |

omohayek:too much power concentrated in the centre rather than closer to the grassroots for effective accountability, unfortunately those at the centre enjoying the power are same people that make laws and in their greedy nature are not willing to relinquish an inch, and worse the electorate is largely focussed on ethnicity and religious sentiments, who is corrupt and who are saints...apc/pdp...when there are more important fundamental issues at stake...look at ibbs daughter's wedding yest, both parties were well represented with their leaders trotting on private jets, and my people would still kill themselves for their sake and nothing meaningful would change. 2 Likes |

mmsen: The hunger for power has blinded a lot of them to see this. Frankly I strongly am of the opinion Nigeria has lost way more by voting in a sick president but also no one else was a better replacement for him back during d election. And I have personally gotten to a point of giving up on Nigeria. |
