oh influential enough to come second, but the player who took up a position he had NEVER played before this season and BOSSED it leading to his team WINNING the EPL should not take APOTY?

You want to compare Wanyama to Weah? Wanyama that did not outscore Dele Alli in his team, abinnonbe MF den dey play together?

Influential indeed. Wanyama will not even see CAF TOP 2.....Issa Hayatou isn't there to dash anybody free award like he dashed his francophone brothers
Ahead of Moses these season includes:
Saidu Mane

Wanyama

Aoubamayang

These players were more influential than Moses in their respective clubs. They are game changer

Wanyama is in the heart of spur defence this season along side Dembele. He cut out Kante at white heart lane this jan.

Spur was on the run of many clean sheet this season

Since you say he's the heart of spurs defence.
Does he have highest number of interceptions?
Does he have the highest number of tackles?
How many man of the match awards does he have to show?

That guy is second to Kante this season in terms of passing accuracy and ball interception. He's in top 3 defensive midfielder in EPL this season

N'Golo Kanté has completed 1734 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 89%, of which 71% were forward passes.

Ander Herrera has completed 555 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 87%, of which 74% were forward passes.

Wanyama has completed 1530 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 87%, of which 70% were forward passes.

Well.

If only Moses can master that position like Walker, Rose or Marcelo, then, he can deserve the Award.

These are natural fullbacks as we both know. Danny Rose and Walker are not even up to Moses' standard so far in the season. Rose, God knows were he his and Walker in recent games has been benched for Kevin Trippier.

Rose is injured but when he plays he command respect from that wing. Same with walker.

Moses is yet to set Standard cos he's yet to master his new position

Quick one, who's the best RB or RWB this season? Please don't tell me Walker.

If not for the double standard, but Mahrez won only the EPL, he beat Aubameyang and Mane. So why does Moses have to do more?

Not every player can be a game change, especially when you play as a RB compared to the wingers and Forwards.

Victor Moses may not even make the Top 3. He will definitely not win it (based on performance this year to date). Aubameyang and Sadio Mane have done far better.

He didn't win the league

yes. but he was a stand out player in the league. he also put in a decent performance at the nations cup. aubameyang didn't do too well at the nations cup but he has scored loads of goals for Dortmund in the league and UCL this season.
moses has been solid for Chelsea this season but has barely played up to 5 games for the eagles this past year. the eagles were not even at the nations cup.
mane or aubameyang deserve it

and what did mane and aubamayang achieve?
for starters, they played at the African nations cup in January. the fact that the super eagles were not there is a minus for moses.

if Moses qualifies for that World Cup from the group of death, a KO AFCON stage is useless.

E be like say you no know how APOTY works, you just want an opportunity to register your displeasure with neocolonialism. Where were you when they robbed Mikel?

Thank God that Hayatoi has gone, all this biased favoritism if Francophone footballers will hopefully end.

If you want to mention a player that can compete with Moses, mention Mohammed Salah of Egypt, not Mane.
no one robbed Mikel. yes, Nigeria won the AFCON but Mikel wasnt even our best player. guys like enyeama and emenike did better. however, yaya toure had a better year all round.

yes, Moses was crucial to Chelsea's tittle win, but he has played just about two games for Nigeria this year. he still has a lot of catching up to do with aubameyang, mane, salah and basogog.

or which African that has match him, even in terms of trophy Aubamayang scores goals good but no trophy, sagio mene has fussled out

Victor moses is just the last man standing this season
is it only by trophies? you look at performances too. aubameyang has scored goals in the UCL this year. moses has never even kicked a ball in the champions league in his life. he has never played in the nations cup.
the whole argument for his nomination is based on his Chelsea exploits. Yet, he is not even among the best 3 players at Chelsea this season (kante, hazard, luiz).
standards have dropped in African football sha.

Bro you're just hairsplitting, trust me right now you sound like yaya toure when he lost the award to aubameyang despite his nations cup triumph, but completely forgetting how he was favored over Mikel obi ( who vanquished his team en route to the nations cup silver ware in 2013) Stop these quibbles about neo-colonialism because as it is, Isa hayotu's nepotism and favoritism has been the main factor undermining the integrity of that award. By the way Moses is a wing back. That's incase y'all what to speak of goals.
.
He plays regularly and well for club and country.
.
He has the silverware to back his claim.
.
Fortunately, no player in the elite squad happens to be African as it is, so what more can I say? VICTOR MOSES NONI.
moses has a chance. but he doesn't have the x-factor. didn't even make premier league team of the year. plus he has done little for the eagles this year compared to the others that were at the nations cup with their teams.
I'm sure he will make the top three, but its unlikely he wins it.

for club? yes
for country? big no
he made is debut in 2012 against Rwanda. he has played only 24 games since.
he has only played in about 2 or 3 of our last 8. I struggle to see where the consistency comes from.

Recent past experiences have shown that the Nations Cup doesn't have much sway when it comes to the African Footballer of the Year Awards or when was the last time an AFCON winner won the Award?..it may not be ideal but that is a discussion for another day..the reality on the ground is that winning a major European League Title or simply having a great European League season can fetch you the Award..

point of correction. it is STARRING on a major European league.
something mahrez did last year (PFA player of the year). Yaya Toure did it countless times. aubameyang has been doing it in Germany.
Sadly, for Moses he has only had a good season. nothing more. luiz, kante, hazard and Costa had better seasons in that Chelsea team. even Marcos alonso on the other flank. he didn't even make the premier league season.
