Chelsea are set to receive the biggest prize money in the history of the Premier League after our title triumph thanks to the latest Premier League TV deal worth £8billion.

Former champions Leicester City received £93million when they won the league last season but Chelsea are set to receive a staggering £150million after winning the league this season according to Daily Mirror.

Each Premier League club is set to receive over £80million from international TV rights, commercial contracts and the “equal share” payment.

Chelsea’s position as champions will see Chelsea receive a further £40million as merit payment.

Chelsea will also receive a further fee based on the number of times our games were shown on live TV and the amount Chelsea will receive is reported to be about £30million.

Chelsea only received £87.3million when we finished 10th in the league last season.
