Right from 1960, Nigeria has always been hell. Dont tell me things were better then because they were not!! Unlike today, there was very few university graduates then. So competition for jobs were not like today. Remember the song "suffering and smiling"? It was sang in the 1970s. Four decades ago!! No be today Nigerians dey suffer.

It doesn't work this way. You don't just apply for UAE visa, buy a ticket, fly there and be in search of jobs upandan. There are different types of visas and to be able to work easily in UAE , you should apply for the visa which enables you work immediately you arrive there.

The company where you would be working will already be aware or perhaps, employ you prior to your arrival. It's usually a 2 years visa.

These folks must have being issued a tourism kinda visa

He scam one of my bro in 2015, what he do is, he will ask u to send him money that he will get u a job in dubia, then he will process 2month visiting visa for u. When u in dubia, he will stylishly Collect more money from u just to get ur visa renew, so when u are back to home, he will start saying the visa is not out yet. Just to get work in dubia, my bro empty his bank account of 580k and still yet the visa is not out since 2015 and this have put the family apart, but trying to put it in control. So if my uncle can do this to his own blood brother, be expecting him to do it to others too.......... There is not job in dubia bro

OP, I had a good friend who left this country for Dubai early this year and he's been telling me everything going on there. According to him, the agent that processed his visa lived in Dubai and the visa he secured for him was an employment visa. That means before he even left Nigeria, they have already secured up to four different jobs for him to choose one. When he arrived, he chosed a job in a construction company where he works till now and is living fine.
I know it's not all that rosy in the diaspora but trust me some countries are much better to stay than this horrible country of ours. My friend in Dubai is now urging me to come over there if I can't find a good job in Nigeria this year. He said with a little money, you'll be very OK over there because the cost of living is minimal compared to Naija.
So please gather your facts very well before posting these kind of stories here.

Construct work in Dubai is the worst work anyone can do,they treat them like pieces of garbage amidst very hot weather.
Some Indians I interacted with were asking me if they could find jobs in my country and I was like WTF.
Agree some people got lucky but the ratio is 20:80
