Aghawonder To Wigan! by Nobody: 2:05am On Jan 29, 2007 |
Finally, this guy gets his long delayed move to the Premiership. I wish him luck and I think the deal is done because Aghaghowa is a well recognized Nigerian international. Skysports.com understand that Wigan are poised to complete the signing of Nigeria international Julius Aghahowa. The move is subject to the Shakhtar Donetsk forward being granted a work permit, but all being well The Latics will tie up a deal early next week. Aghahowa has long been linked with a move to England after starring performances for Shakhtar in Europe. Wigan have now turned to the player as the club bid to find a winning formula and arrest the Premiership slump that has seen slip perilously close to the relegation zone. The signing of Aghahowa would follow hot on the heels of Paul Jewell's capture of another striker, former Chesterfield powerhouse Caleb Folan, ahead of Wednesday's transfer deadline. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=444638&CPID=8&clid=111&lid=2&title=Wigan+set+to+land+Aghahowa&channel=football_home& |

Good thing he's been released at last, Seems those people were looking to nationalize him or something; they didnt want anything to do with his transfer before I hope he still have some energy for the premiership |

Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by kitaun(m): 5:19am On Jan 29, 2007 |
Must we always judge by current form? Do you know that since Yekini we have not seen a more reliable striker, one who had always been patriotic, his problem was the slave contract he signed and the injuries he picked up in 2004 and 2006! This someone who had been delivering the goods since d U21 WYC held here in '99 |

Kitaun, With what do we judge players? Old form? Na wah for you o. @rikky, where else do you want him to go? Assnal, Liverfool, The Romans or United? Let him prove himself @ Wigan and letz see if he won't be courted by the top clubs. Well for more details about Agha's transfer, the link below will help. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=405414&cc=3888 |

Excerpt from Bola's link: Aghahowa's move is subject to the 24-year-old international being granted a work permit in England. Is this a typo? |

Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by kitaun(m): 10:21pm On Jan 29, 2007 |
@Bolaoni When you read RELIABLE, what does it mean? Dispute it, instead of asking for time frame, asking if based on old form? Agbahowa still remains in reckoning and is the most reliable, take it or leave it |
Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by didoflex(m): 9:54am On Jan 30, 2007 |
I like him, but I think he's older than 24, maybe about 30something, thats why he's not playing that good anymore, Am happy he's in England at Last tho! |
Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by kitaun(m): 10:32am On Jan 30, 2007 |
Truth be said, he looks more like getting to be our version of Roger Milla alongside Garba Lawal, heard he has a daughter almost as old as Mikel |
Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by Razorr(f): 10:58am On Jan 30, 2007 |
Well, going by what debosky has said, the guy is 40 years old (forty years old)! |
Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by kitaun(m): 11:12am On Jan 30, 2007 |
No diggity, but he's far better and more commited than most of our younger players who think the world of themselves!! |
Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by Razorr(f): 11:32am On Jan 30, 2007 |
Well, how many more years would he spend on the field before the symptoms of old age begin to catch up with him? 5/6 years? |
Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by danniecool(m): 1:12pm On Jan 30, 2007 |
Aghawonder is a premiership material any day anytime Good in both air and on ground, skillful, strong and tall |

Re: Aghawonder To Wigan! by Christino(m): 7:27pm On Jan 30, 2007 |
If age catches up with the dude, then Wigan'll have to give the world a bad impression about Naija. Martins refused to do a bone test of course lets keep our lips sealed regarding that. As for Agha, he either proves himself there or end up like. . . em. . . you know that pilot |
