Why do people assume that because a person looks good on the outside then they are the ideal partner? Im not talking about money here, i mean for people who money isnt their problem, not oloshos or hungry people who would date anything cuz they hungry. Im talking about established people in the workplace and so forth. Why is it that it always comes down to goodlooks when a girl or even a guy wants to settle down? People cannot even imagine theirself with an ugly partner its like an insult to them. Why do people assume that because a person looks good then they should make a good husband/wife?

Because physical attraction is important. You need to find your partner appealing to look at it. Although it shouldn't be the most important thing, but theres no way im getting with a guy who looks like a monster. It's life, and attractiveness is different in everyone's eyes.
