Amberon: Good question. They like power greatly; in fact, they are power drunk and when power comes to them, they mismanage it. 1 Like |

wristbangle: The level of agriculture that they engage in is minimal considering that Nigeria continues to import basic food items. If the wealthy people of that region engaged in real, heavy duty agriculture then I would understand your point. As it is the many deficiencies of the North far outway any positives by way of their tepid agricultural industry. P.S. I don't see the SE aligning with the North, even if they offer a VP slot. The cultural/ideological difference is too vast. Easterners are too driven by financial independence and self-sufficiency to find common cause with people driven by a desire to maintain a feudalistic hold on their society. 1 Like 1 Share |

Now that you are the full minister. I pray you don't make fool of yourself with fear not to do the right thing and pride of self capacity round that opportunity may God give you ideas that will bring solutions to vindicate and celebrate you. OSINACHI . Congratulation |

mmsen: Do I have a feeling for the second time on nairaland I am having conversation with an unbiased, patriotic and diplomatic person from SE region? Even if you as a person are not please to align with SW, I respect your profound view on political view. Very intelligent of you to state facts that are real on ground. As regards Agricultural aspect, basic foods are still being provided which no matter how meagre it maybe, it's something, though most of the processed foods still comes from southern part of the country and imported from abroad. |

wristbangle: And that is what is important - it is in the south where the basic materials are processed. It is in the south that value is added. SW or SE - I don't care. I have been comfortable in both places. I don't have to worry about Sharia law in the SW or the SE. I don't have to worry about Boko Haram in the SE or the SW. I know that the people are about their daily grind in both places and are not comfortable leaving their children to beg. And that is why I don't have any problems with Igbos, Yorubas, Ijaws or whoever. They are not the ones killing indiscriminately and pretending it is not genocide. We cannot continue to attack each other in the south over petty differences when northerners are allowing their minions to kill and governors are rewarding them with money. 1 Like |

What northern cabal. Sensational Journalism. Which petroleum minister since Abacha has come from the North. Petroleum minisiter are always from the Niger-Delta. That position has never been coveted by the north, at anytime. Their is no proof that they ever desired it. |
