Hello,

Thank you for taking out time to open this thread. I am new to the web management world.

I urgently need a way forward to solve a CPanel challenge.

If you take a look at the attached picture, you will observe that the physical memory usage and IOS of our Cpanel are extremely high.

Kindly guide on correction if you have experience regarding this.

Thanks.

What kind of service do you run on that domain? Is it just a web site?

Hi,

The remote web hosting has similar infrastructure as your PC.

The Physical Memory usage means the RAM/speed of your remote hosting. From the screenshot, it shows that you have used up your hosting RAM. Which in turn will make your website slow. Have you noticed that?

I/O means Input/Output. That is, the number of connections made to your site. Like reading and writing to a file etc.

I hope i have been helpful?

The website is slow and sometimes fast. It always shows a 509 redirect message which can by annoying after uploaded content and ready to post.

Another popular challenge is that the connection usually goes out forcing you to reload the page.

I will like to know what could be increasing this I/O usage and generally advice i can use to make the memory stable.

Thanks for your time

Thank you for your concern @michaelwilli

There is no ''cron'' job that I am aware of.

I am assuming the website could be running as a subdomain because a digital agency was managing the website before I got the job.

Short answer:

It is time to upgrade your hosting.

Long answer:

The website is slow because the RAM is used up; the same thing when you have used up the RAM on your physical computer. The only solution is to upgrade the Physical memory by purchasing more MBs from your hosting provider.

5xx http status codes are errors originating from the server. 509 status code means you have exceeded your bandwidth. Hence why the connection goes off.

I think writing and reading from Databases and file are what eat up the I/O usage. The I/O usage limit will reduce when there are less activity on the website same with the RAM.

Basically, your website is having huge traffic which means you need to upgrade your hosting.

Alternatively, you can use AwStats from your cpanel to monitor traffic coming into your website. If you find any unusual IP address, you may want to block it but keep in mind that doing so may restrict other people from visiting your website.

I hope this has been helpful?

Please look at the sub domains. If you don't find anything suspicious, contact your hosting provider
