Information reaching from Federal High Court No 1 Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State has it that Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu has just delivered judgement In Bright Chimezie fundamental right application filed against the zoological republic of Nigeria State Security Service known as SSS .

After listening to Bar Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the Applicant's Counsel moved the application and extensive argument, the court ordered the immediate release of Bright Chimezie and accordingly awarded N5million Naira Damages against the State Security Service for the illegal arrest of Bright Chimezie Since 14th day of October 2016,and his continued detention.

Order is about to be enrolled.

Breaking: Court Orders Immediate Release Of Bright Chimezie, Slams N5m Compensation Against FG

The Federal High Court No 1 Uyo, in Akwa Ibom State, presided over by Hon. justice Ijeoma Ojukwu delivered judgement in a fundamental Right Suite filed on behalf of Bright Chikezie against the State Security Services.

The lawyer representing Bright Chimezie in this case is Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor. Following his argument before the honourable court the previous session, justice Ojukwu moved his substantive application to this morning and his extensive argument on law.

The judge ordered the State Security Service to release Bright Chimezie immediately. The court also held illegal, unconstitutional and a gross violation of Bright Chimezie's constitutional guaranteed rights to freedom of liberty, dignity of human person, presumption of innocence and freedom of movement, his arrest since the 14th of October, 2016 and continued detention till date.

The judge consequently ordered the State Security Services to pay the sum of 5million to Bright Chimezie as compensation for gross violation of his fundamental human rights.
