"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32

Ordinarily, INCRA would not have bothered to respond to the low-life press statement of the Governor Nyesom Wike-led Rivers State Government, which came in reaction to Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi's, (former Governor of Rivers State and Nigeria's Minister of Transportation) outright and justifiable rejection of an award of excellence from the above mentioned administration. However, we are compelled to set the records straight and point Governor Wike to order, for posterity's sake.

First and foremost, it is not only ironical, but it is also tragicomical, for Wike's widely acclaimed violent and diabolical government to summon the rare temerity to include Amaechi’s name in the list of awardees for the misplaced golden jubilee jamboree. Unfortunately, like most sane people know, the Rivers @ 50 celebration is nothing but another cheap political festivity set up by Wike and his sycophantic cohorts to massage their overbloated devilish egos.

Wike, a man with blood-stained hands, that climbed unto the governorship office on the butchered corpses of innocent Rivers sons and daughters, does not have the moral and spiritual right to organise or even participate in the 50th anniversary of Rivers State - an entity which was founded with the fear of God and love for humanity. What INCRA expects Wike to do at this point in time, is to kneel down before God, the good people of Rivers State, and Nigerians at large, to seek forgiveness for wasting the lives of not a few Rivers indigenes on the pedestal of an inordinate political ambition.

Apart from the fact that a man of high moral and spiritual standing like Amaechi, should not be seen or heard receiving any award whatsoever from Wike's basket of enormous iniquity, it is also a fact that Amaechi is not in want of plaques, be it local or international. For instance, it is on record that Amaechi, while serving as the governor of Rivers State, received a lifetime diplomatic award from the United Nations (UN), for his immense contribution to education in Rivers State. What more can a man ask for?

INCRA would love to reiterate her earlier call on Wike to seek remission for the calamities that he directly or indirectly wrought in Rivers State, before, during and after the 2015 general election. In truth, we are all witnesses to the Supreme Court's specific affirmation of the homongous level of bloodletting that was associated with that election in Rivers State; "Rivers State was a 'theatre of war' before, during, and after the 2015 general election", the apex court declared.

Let it be known to Wike and his team of political vampires, that no amount of awards can clean up Governor Nyesom Wike's unholy acts from history's chest, or equate him (Wike), with Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, in terms of morality and spirituality.

On this note, we use this medium to wish our beloved Rivers State a joyful 50 years anniversary, and in the same vein, we wish the Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, a remarkable 52 years birthday celebration.

God bless Rivers State!
God bless Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi!
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
