Every OEM is trying to release the best devices and add as many features as they can to their flagship devices. In recent developments we've seen smartphones with extremely powerful Snapdragon processors, 4k Screens, Massive battery capacity, dual cameras , large storage space and RAM capacities that can compete with a average laptop.

Here's my list of top 7 Android phones that run on Octa-Core processors-

1. Samsung Galaxy S8
In first place on my list is the Samsung Galaxy S8 which sports a Super AMOLED 5.8-inch QHD screen with 1440 x 2960 pixels (570 ppi) resolution. The Samsung Galaxy S8 is powered by a 1.9 GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 8895 processor (Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 – US model). It has 4GB of RAM and packs 64GB of internal storage (expandable to 256GB via microSD)
The rear camera of the S8 packs 12MP with f/1.7 aperture (including phase-detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash) while the front comes with 8MP, f/1.7 (autofocus & Auto HDR). The Vivo X7 Plus sports a Super AMOLED 5.7-inch full-HD display and 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution (386 ppi). Under the hood is a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm (MSM8976) Snapdragon 652 processor.
It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable to 256GB). The X7 Plus packs 16MP on rear camera (LED flash and PDAF). The front camera also comes with 16MP, f/2.0 aperture, with LED flash. It comes with Funtouch OS v2.5.1 running on top Android Marshmallow. It also has 4G connectivity. X7 Plus comes with a massive 4000 mAH battery and supports fast charging.
This device costs about N280,000.



4. Gionee M2017
The selling point of the Gionee M2017 is the powerful battery. Gionee M2017 comes with a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED screen with 1440×2560 pixel resolution and curved edges. Powering this device is an octa-core (4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53) Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM.

The phone comes with 128GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded. What else do you need to expand here?


It has a dual camera combination of 2MP+13MP, and an 8MP front shooter. This device runs on Amigo 3.5 UI on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device comes with a massive 7000 mAH (Quick Charge 3.0).

5. Huawei Honor Magic

Interesting the processor is Huawei's Hisilicon Kirin 950 processor. It has 4GB of RAM and a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The phone packs 64GB of storage which is not expandable unfortunately. It sports a dual 12MP camera setup on the rear side with an f/2.2 aperture along with an 8MP front-facing camera. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Honor Magic Live OS UI atop and is powered by a 2900 mAH battery. The device costs around N205,000



6. BlackBerry Keyone
TCL took over the smartphone production from Blackberry. The BlackBerry Keyone comes with the signature QWERTY keypad.
It also comes with a 4.5-inch full-HD (1620×1080 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of (433ppi) and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Lol. I wondered too. My Redmi Note 4 with 4G RAM, 64G ROM, Octacore 2.0GHz ROM has some if not most of the specs listed up there.
