Interestingly , several filling stations did not open. At the Enugu State civil service secretariat , our correspondent observed that a few workers turned up for work.
Most residents stayed home. It seemed like a public holiday in Enugu on Tuesday morning .
However , some shop owners and commercial bus and tricycle drivers defied the order by going about their normal businesses .
Anti - riot policemen and men of the National Security and Civil Defence Corps were seen patrolling the streets to avert a breakdown of the law and order .
