The Biafranized Nigeria And An Imminent Referendum by Nobody: 8:16pm On May 31, 2017
Yesterday, the 30th day of May, will not be forgotten in a hurry, since it has left indelible footprints in the sand of time. Ours is a nation sating with a pot-pourri of mendacious and veracious narratives. I must confess my understanding of Nigeria's economy, which I had always known to be souled by the commercial activities of my brothers and sisters from the East, became broader, as it became crystal clear that NIGERIA IS BIAFRA WRIT LARGE. Thanks to the sit-at-home exercise.

I dare say that Nigeria is inconceivable without Biafra, perhaps the reason why they are fighting tooth and nail to force the agitators to stay in an injurious marriage. The sit-at-home exercise, against all odds, shocked the world. Yes, the globe watched in awe as a people so maimed, brutalized, disintegrated, lied against, cheated, spited, maligned, and condemned grind the economic life of Nigeria to a disturbing halt for a whole day (24 hrs), leading to a national loss of several billions in dollars.

Like a harmattan inferno, the silent protest over the gruesome killings of Biafrans, since 1966 pogrom till date, was complied to by Igbo and non-Igbo speaking Nigerians with Biafra consciousness. The compliance to the directive of the IPOB Director, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the modern-day driver of the agitation, rendered commercial activities in the entire cardinal points of Nigeria comatose. I am not afraid to say that even Buhari, as President of Nigeria, could not have enjoyed such compliance.

Just 24 hours and it seemed Nigeria had been dissembled. Wow! Those that bear transmitted, unfounded seeds of discord against the Igbo know better now: THAT AN IGBOLESS NIGERIA IS AKIN TO AN EMPTY TUNNEL. Our brothers in the East, the Igbo, are the real soul of Nigeria, yet they constitute the most politically disintegrated lot in this Godforsaken country. It is an indubitable fact that the loss of the Igbo will eventually translate to the loss of Lugard's brainchild, but should that notion stop them from clamouring for freedom? I am guessing my readers just inclined a no.

Now that Nigeria knows she is Igbolessly nothing, what is she willing to do to placate the Igbo and other Biafra lovers from dumping her? Whatever Nigeria is willing to do to avoid her imminent deflation is now a fait accompli. Biafrans are so possessed by the spirit of Biafra. Having seen Nigeria is just a shell devoid of viscera, this is the best time to desert her for all her killings, butchery, minorisation of our collective peoples, and heinous and criminal subjugation. The time to be freed from this beast is now.

My beloved brothers and sisters, it is lucid that our departure will end this demonic enclave. Nigeria was never for us, but when Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu realised it and tried to sensitize our fathers, the North and West succeeded in deceiving them that he (Ojukwu) was fighting a tribal war. Therein came the IGBONISATION OF BIAFRA, which our unwise fathers failed to see as a regional struggle.

We, the youths, are wise now. The specks have withered and fallen off our eyes. We have read documented accounts and come to terms with the timeless truth about yesterday. Biafra is interregional, multicultural, and multilingual; though we must admit our Igbo-speaking group constitute the majority. However, we also know that even the majority are without the supremacist consciousness. It is high time the various constituents of IPOB sat down to discuss the Constitution and System of Government of Biafra. I will continue to deliver lectures on IPOB and the need for the South-East, South-South, and several other annexes with the Biafra consciousness to come together to birth the inarguably richest country the world will ever have.

Kudos to every Biafran alive for making yesterday's sit-at-home a huge success. The result of May 30, 2017 has proven beyond doubt that Biafra is not a spirit that is localized in the East: it is everywhere. All hail Biafra! All hail Biafra! Biafra is intertribal and interregional. Biafra is like a wave, always ready to surmount obstacles. Let the dying stop. Let no more lives be lost to the trigger-happy cum untrained Nigeria's soldiers. Let us take the battle to the academic front and kill the lies therein. These filthy soldiers and policemen are not qualified to take more lives of the Children of Light. Let us get tactical from now onwards. No more boisterous gatherings. Let gatherings be discreet henceforth. Die no more, Children of Light. Biafra has come. Referendum is coming. May God in heaven bless you all. Amen.

I really never wanted them to be part of Biafra, but I'm having a rethink. If there is going to be a round table talk where agreement will be reached, then I'm game. I hope everything moves smoothly to best of all involved.

Apart from yorubas pretending to be south-south, the actual south south people against biafra are very loud and opinionated in comparison to those who do support biafra. But they are not in the majority. The majority are actually on the fence watching patiently to see how things unfolds.

They are against biafra because of igbophobia which nigeria media or their parents did a good job with instilling for over 40years and /or ignorance of Biafran agenda.

They pretend as if IPOB is not offering a referendum.

Beautiful piece.

The magnitude of the event that took place yesterday sent a serious message to our detractors, and as expected, they will react!

Biafrans spoke with one voice. The whole world saw that the likes of Charly boy and Yorubakwe are but insignificant minorities. The majority of Biafrans want Biafra.

I use to have a learned friend who use to be antagonistic to this Biafra movement, citing the Nigerian propaganda that Igbos can't speak with one voice, he felt that when push comes to shove, that we wouldn't be able to stand as one.

But what he saw Yesterday surprised him. From Owerri to Onitsha to Abakaliki to Enugu to Asaba, etc,the result was the same. Biafrans showed that we value nationhood and freedom more than money( business), that we are more than capable of rising above the petty things that divides us, to hold unto the things that unite us all.
And this realization dawned on him. He made a very long post on facebook yesterday declaring his support for the Biafran struggle to the anger of his numerous Arewa-Odua friends.

This is the truth, all a movement needs is a fire, a pressure, that is well nurtured and made to grow. And then, it's only a matter of time before it sucks in all that are within its vicinity. Ipob and Kanu, no matter how unconventional we think their methods are, have done this.

The longer this struggle goes, the more converts we get, the less naysayers we have. Until all that is left are those amongst us, whose very existence and sustenance depends solely on parasitic attachment to Nigeria as an entity.

And I assure you, these ones are minute minority in our midst, easily disarmed by our sheer numbers and power alone.

Its a good time to be Biafran. Truly, the labour of our heroes past, must never be in vain.

God bless all lovers of freedom.

My reason is because of the insult and threat coming from online 'we south south warriors'. But it seems the real South Southerners are speaking right now. So if there is going to be a round table talk were terms and condition will be discussed, I believe the union will work.

I subscribe to the idea of a round table talk between the SS and SE. Like many of you have argued, minorities may have to take a ride with the Igbo agitation in order to push their own interest. But this must be on their terms, not the other way around. I just wish there are some forward thinking and liberal Igbo leaders who would be willing to invite the SS leaders and even Middle Belt leaders for a serious discussion on the state of the nation and the way forward. Whether or not they want to secede, the minorities can combine interests with Igbo to push their demands.

The Igbo also has to be sincere in this and show some form of trustworthiness (not implying that Igbos aren't trustworthy). What I mean here is that Igbos have to be open in its dealings with the minorities. Many of us from minority groups do not differentiate the Igbos, Yorubas and Hausas when it comes to marginalisation. We see all the majority groups as one and same. This is why Igbos must be careful with the kind of words they use especially when minorities are involved. When some Igbos go around saying the SS is Igbo or Biafran territory or anything that appears to be threatening the freedom and will of the SSners, bad blood is built. In the defence of Igbos however, many of those saying things like this are myopic and think there are only three groups in Nigeria (thus anyone who is not Hausa or Yoruba is Igbo. Yorubas and Hausas are also guilty of this too). Others must call them out when they go around spreading false propaganda. These propagandas weaken the will of the minorities when they see them.

That said, I believe SS can work with SE if the SEners can take the initiative, be more open-minded and liberal and finally tone down the hate speech (even though we know Igbos get them too) but if everyone is hurling words at each other, what would we achieve?

I am (and I believe many minorities groups' leaders are) open to the idea of a coalition of SS and SE in the struggle to liberate the regions from the Northern oligarchy that haunts us all. A coalition that will be discussed and all bodies will agree to terms. Until such a coalition is achieved, it is important that Igbos generally remove non-Igbos from the agitation, so as not to be seen in a wrong light.

You do have a point. Change is constant. You have said what I'm sure is the reason your people are wary of the movement. But, you should also understand that in your state, you have been existing with the Igbos for ages, without any ethnic clash or supremacy battle. That should tell you something about the Igboman core make up. Go to Rivers State, the same thing. Igbos existing side by side with Ijaws peacefully. I think, ND tribes are really worked by unfounded fear, and propaganda of a perceived Igbo domination, which is never the case in reality. However, its high time, intellectual from both parties start keying in to the movement, since they are the ones that have what it take to build a framework that will engage everybody. I'll love to see a round table talk between the two region. I'll love to see a framework that will eliminate forever, that annoying term 'minority'. Nobody is a minority. I'll love to see a framework that will establish equality, justice and meritocracy.....

The beauty of this coalition will not be over-emphasized. The biafra that will be birthed with the combination of the east and the southerners will be the envy of all. I know many southerners fear igbo domination but in truth, there has never been a time when igbos were domineering.

A round table talk filled with intellectuals and leaders of various ethnic groups will make the difference. Because it will be where everyone will feel the sense of belonging.

I went through your posts and I must say you should keep doing the good work you've been doing in trying to be one of the sensible ones. In a forum filled for loose canons of both Nigerians and Biafrans alike, you've maintained calm and never stirred any hornet's nest or engaged in tribal slurs. With regards to the Biafran dream, you've always been an advocate for discussion and freedom to identify with the cause by interested people or groups. This contrasts with many of the loose canons who go about forcing opinions on others and being sentimental when confronted with the fallacy of their opinions on the whole thing.

While both of us may differ in terms of ideologies and many things, I admire the approach you take towards the Biafran agitation. It is cool, calm and collected and you do not engage in senseless hurling of words. If others were more like yourself and others like mekuzi09, candyrain, and blues2022; even Yorubas would want to be Biafrans, and I am saying this as someone from an ethnicity which has been described as being Igbophobic (a tag we have never denied).

My aim in all this is to tell you and others like you to take over the space more and try to caution those empty barrels and loose canons roaming and trolling this forum and elsewhere on the internet and causing problems for the Igbo ethnicity and the Biafran cause, including making enemies where there were none.

The truth here is that when you have seen life from.a logical light, you identify your strengths and weaknesses.

The problem with the way people see Biafra is that, the supporters see it as the second coming of Christ while the haters see it as Armageddon.

But I see it as a new brainchild which can use to correct the mistake of the present union we find ourselves. And a step in protecting our next generation.

This is the reason why I urge people of other ethnicity that if you love your next generation and you want to protect them from the same thing bedeviling our chances at prosperity, then you should be a Biafra because Nigeria has never worked for 103years, why waste more time.

You must have a mix of the hot and calm. That is why IPOB is surviving for long. Difference why Uwazuruike's effort died after jail term.
Honestly, we have so many Biafrans trolls, go to Twitter and Facebook, they are not going to give you a calm discuss, but aren't going to let you win the cyberspace war. Those ones aren't the decision makers, but they make sure the noise never dies down.
IPOB's top ranks are made up of well educated and well to do men and highly traveled too, but you need the 'trolls' to keep the cyber war going, it is never easy.

For me, on Twitter, If I see a sensible discuss I join to air my views and preach peaceful like I was doing with one Urhobo guy yesterday on Twitter, he lives in SA and mentioned me with a simple question of why we don't have a compact leadership group in Igboland, I had to start from hundreds of years back, till he understood why we are like we are, in the end he said he has understood many things, he asked me many things about IPOB, and I was willing to answer, he said he will visit IPOB members he know where he lives in SA and confirm from them, he prayed the struggle comes to fruition cos he knows it means a new Dawn for everyone.

To cut it short, I discuss when people want to discuss, I mock and attack when u feel u want to do the same too.

Enjoy the morning man.

I think the best thing happening to Nigeria right now is the Biafran movement. Those of us in the Niger delta area are paying keen interest and attention to what is going on. I believe it's high time we aligned with the south East with a clear spelt out agenda on how the south south can be Integrated into the movement and how minority rights are to be protected should Biafra come. A duo country in one can be worked out like u find in canada, Sao tome and principe, Trinidad and tobego. Or even the Chinese arrangement where mainland China is run separately from honk Kong, Chinese Taipei and macao. It's obvious the expected change or even revolution is coming. We need to get in now.
