A friend of mine from Edo, is dating a pretty babe from Amaoba-Ime, Oboro, Ikwuano Lga in Abia state.
He sees her as decent and cultured as well as pretty.
But his folks says they gathered from other Igbos that Abia wives colonizes their husbands deter them from relating with their family.
His folks are worried because he is a the leader in his family.

My friend say something sensible and stop hating. If Benin women like being landladies, did they steal your money to buy or build their houses?
Benin men don't pocket their wives like Igbo men do.
Two of my female relatives are married to Igbo men, one of them is 1st Biz admin graduate from U.S in the '80s before marrying her Igbo boy friend. He didnt allow her to work but to stay at home raise children only for him to deprive of funds and allow her siblings to beat her up. She only survived by jumping the fence of their compound and escape for her life.
It was her dad who eventually settled the matter and asked her to return to her husband and warned him not allow his siblings treat her like that again.
my other female relative is the one carrying her husband as we speak because he's struggling.
Both women have nothing of their own but all investments into their marriage and no one has asked to return home.

If your not OK with something u move on..I grew with notion of how the benis are. But u know as God dey work I got involved with the best family ever I'm Benin. I go to Benin anyhow I like so I can't generalize. So for some guy to just say this Igbo side of gals are bad.. Wch kind talk be that Nah.. Am not Igbo mind you.
