Stop deceiving yourself we are not parasites, every region has what it takes to sustain herself, SW is even more blessed than the SE in terms of resources so please shove the parasite idea up your ass.

SS and SW are major revenue earner for the FG.

But what exactly does the SE contribute to the National purse?

That is a stupid question

F o c oof... Ur opinion does not matter...are Igbo's the only people that killed Lagos agenda? Always diabolically twisting everything

Yoruba's wanted a special status for Lagos, Hausa's wanted North east commission and Ibo's wanted south east development commission.

Ibo lawmakers joined Hausa lawmakers to kill the Lagos special status bill and then supported the North east development commission. Yoruba lawmakers have now repaid their Ibo colleagues in similar coin by joining the north to kill the south east development commission bill.

At the end of the day, Hausa's got exactly what they wanted while Ibo and Yoruba lost out. Exactly what you get when people refuse to work together out of petty hatred and jealousy.

Ilaje in Ondo has Oil and Ondo is the 5 largest producer of Oil behind Akwa-ibom, Rivers,Delta and Bayelsa. Lagos ports is also a huge revenue earner for the FG, Tax revenue is huge in Lagos and Ogun because of the clusters of Industries there.

I am deeply ashamed. A prosperous southeast is a prosperous Nigeria, yet for some deeply rooted tribalism people do not want this bill. The south east and the Igbos are being marginalized. That's a bloody fact! we are supposed to counter their secession threat by giving them a sense of belonging and development projects, yet this government is making a Kanu a hero everyday. The APC are a disaster, a divisive party. It has never been this bad.
You mean your cry for sucession is a threat?

South Eastern states are parasites like everybody else.. Anambra contributed nothing in 2016 Look at IMO , Zamfara makes just as much.. we all parasites on the Niger-Delta (the golden goose). So, STFU

Thank U Mr. Truth bender. Zamfara generates Oil revenue like IMO right? Nigeria cannot move forward because of liars and confusionists like you! Convenient statistics to prove lies and exclude the truth. Why not add oil revenue to this list. Parasite ko, amoeba ni!

Refer to this thread and see how mature the southwest are compared to you guys.

No one has thrown a party like you guys did over the rejected Lagos "Special status" bill.

Thanks for this link. The way people masturb.ated on that thread, you'd think the rejection of the Lagos bill meant accelerated development for their region.

A single state special status bill you call greedy,
what will you call the 5 states south east development bill ?
Life is about give and take which you people have refused
to accept.
Those who can't see before their nose end up biting their fingers.
What will you gain from lagos been only single state to be granted a special status , they have North development commission,NDDC,SE and SW can have their development commission also.
You people in Nigeria dont want that country to move forward, there is nothing wrong in making Lagos,Anambra and Kano a special status for development which the house did to Lagos Special Status bill, which is an excellent decision, with that development will spread in Nigeria.
Nobody kill the lagos status bill

What assets do South east have? How many good federal roads, since the war ended how many concrete projects have been carried to rehabilitate the south east. I think the truth is that deep down the mind of this politicians they don't want anything good for any other region, that isn't the north. But it's fine election is by the corner the nepotistic children of Usman Dan fodio must not be annoyed.

Why must you impose the ''asset option'' on Lagos to defeat the special status wish of Lagosians, yet you wanted yours to be approved for your region?

I think it is a shame, trying to get the FG to allocate money so we can further share what the Niger Delta is producing , they will tell u the Niger Delta has a development commission, this is becos they are bloody feeding the entire country even the so called FIRS and Customs monies are greatly tied to Oil gotten from the Niger Delta, if you were to ask them to fund this so called commission by their states in the region contributing solely for the purpose or IGR then they will refuse.

"We all heard it and still the presiding officer gave it to the "nays".

My question to these people that supposed to be fasting is;

1)Why did you say "No" to the development of south East?.

2) Is it your personal money that will be used for this project?.

3) Can you honestly tell me with facts what your states contributes to the project Nigeria positively more than these SE states?.

Cry babies and kids, so you think once you present a bill it's as good as passed? Is it his personal money? So you can't think that any more money going to a region is equal to less going to other regions without a similar commission. Those are responsible representatives who understand why they are there.

What is the mover of the bill giving in return to other regions to make them pass the SE development bill? Has he committed to support any bill dear to the heart of other regions?

Your head dey there. I honestly do not understand the reason the SW were canvassing for a special status for Lagos. Lagos already has more money ( allocations + IGR), than all other states, Lagos is more credit worthy in the international credit market that all other states in Nigeria. Lagos is about the only state that is developing infrastructurally and in other developmental induces in Nigeria, and you want to take more money from our meagre earnings and give to Lagos.
Lagos is already accused of under developing the rest of the country because over 70% of non oil economic activities is concentrated in Lagos. So pumping more federal money in Lagos would lead to further drain of other states of their productive population, further exasperating the population explosion of lagos and its associated social problems.
What we should be advocating for is for the creation of special status for one state in each region in order to develop it to a mini "Lagos", that way development would be spread evenly among the regions and relieve the pressure on Lagos.

The question now is,would a rep member from the East have supported a bill for the creation of a SW commission?
