A Nigerian, Miss Lateefat Abiola Oyeleye has emerged the overall best medical student of all the 564 final year graduating students of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine.

The young Lateefah was one of the 85 stranded medical students of the Osun State University, UNIOSUN left stranded and unable to complete their studies after the National Universities Commission in 2012 refused to approve the course for lack of a medical school.

In 2014, when Governor Rauf Aregbesola came on board, he decided to fully sponsor the entire 85 students that belonged to two different sets to complete their Medical studies at the Kharkiv National University, Ukraine. Of the 85, fifty have become Medical Doctors after they all passed the Krok 2 examinations in one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe.
