7 Infallible Ways to Soften Tight Shoes

Shoes and women often have a relationship of blind passion, and one proof of this is that many suffer from shoes that tighten and injure their feet.

We are sure that you will be able to have a lot more tranquility to walk beautiful, free and loose with footwear properly softened and more comfortable.

Enough of the despair, to think that your favorite pair of shoes will no longer be part of your looks! What then are the simple ways to get this done?

1. Moisturizer for feet and shoes
There are pairs of shoes that are already scary before you put them on because of their hardness, right? If this is happening to you, know the infallible tip is to apply moisturizer on your feet before shoeing.

However, even if your feet are evenly trimmed, it is still difficult to put on the pair, you can pass the moisturizing cream on your shoes as well.

Apply the cream in the most problematic areas, the ones that tighten more, this will make the footwear more loose and for your feet to slide on it. You can use any type of moisturizer.

2. Large potatoes for shoe lacing
Big potatoes for shoe lacing. This technique for softening tight shoes is somewhat curious, but quite effective. You will need two very large potatoes, they may be common potatoes used to make potato chips.

Put the potatoes inside the shoes and leave like this for a day or two. The idea is that the potatoes play the role of feet to lace the shoe in a way that is more comfortable to be used.

3. Expansion with water
Another very effective way to make your tight shoes more comfortable is to use bags with water.

For this, fill bags with water and fasten them inside the shoes. Take care that water accumulates at the most problematic points of your footwear, that is, where it tightens more.

Then put the shoes in the freezer so that the water becomes ice. When the water freezes, it expands so that it takes up more space and this forces the shoes to expand also becoming less tight.

4. Newspaper with alcohol
This technique should be done with shoes whose lining is dark, and preferably not suede since it can ruin the shoe due to blemishes.

The method is simple enough that you soak the newspaper with alcohol (if you prefer you can use water, however, with alcohol the result to soften tight shoes is much better).

Evaporation of the alcohol causes the footwear to expand.

5. Wear shoes at home
If even the pair being the size of your foot gets tight, the tip is to find a way to make it more comfortable by the habit.

Before venturing into an exit, with the shoe that is tightening you, use the pair at home.

Over time the footwear will sag and become more comfortable. If you feel that the footwear is bothering you to the point of calluses and the like you can take it off.

6. With dryer and thick socks
How to soften tight shoes with dryer and thick socks. Wear thick socks and fit the problematic pair of shoes, then warm your feet with a blow dryer.


Stay with your footwear for half an hour and then, when removing the thick socks, you will notice that the footwear is already much less tight.

In case you think your footwear is still tight you should repeat the procedure. Be careful not to get the dryer too close to your shoes.

7. With softener
The last foolproof method of this list to soften tight shoes is very simple and very effective. You should put two tablespoons of fabric softener in the heel of the footwear.

Let it act for a while, and when it comes to pairing again, you will find that it is much softer and easier to use.
