The Saudi Arabian national football team, during the just concluded world cup qualifying match against Australia, refused to obey FIFA directive to observe a minute silence in honour of the victims of the London terrorist attack. The Saudi Arabian players were seen jogging and walking about in the field while their opponents were standing still in silence according to the FIFA order.
The Saudi Arabians, in a bide to defend their action, said that what FIFA requested them to do( observing one minute silence for the victims) is against their tradition.
The match, however, kicked off after this and it was won by Australia 3:2.
