Debosky, Just want to use this medium to get your attention and enquire about a little matter that involves a ban. It might not be the appropriate means to reach you but it's what is available to me. Some time yesterday you exercised your authority as a moderator and got me (tipsydude) band after what you deemed was my alleged posting of pornographic images or pictures on the "Nairaland Official Eye Candy" thread. I would like to bring to your notice that to the best of my knowledge, I did not violate the rules laid out there. The offending member was no other but Raybahny and if you had observed, I condemned his action before uploading my own pictures on the thread. I was amazed that the offending pic he uploaded which generated criticisms from almost all who saw it including myself, faakay, abbey_city and 190 was left in full view for over 5hrs before he removed it. If I had violated any rule, I would like to believe that it was for the first time and therefore does not warrant a ban since one of the rules on the forum talks about banning one who continues to default. That is if I erred, but I didn't cos the pics updated by me did not in depict frontal nudity or the Instruments as stated in the rules on that thread. If you feel you saw any picture posted by me that happened to be errant that bring it to my notice. I would like to believe that my ban was done in error which might have been as a result of rage you felt when intimated about raybahny's post but I want to believe that whatever might have influenced your judgment is past now so you could re-visit the issue fair and square. Inorder to ascertain if I am the kinda poster that deserves a ban, I would like you to go through all my posts on Nairaland as a hole to see things for yourself. You would find posts of mine in the following sections viz: Jobs/Vacancies, Jokes, Phones, Computers/Internet, Sports, Romance/Sexuality and maybe a post in Politics. I would appreciate it if this my little write up is looked into. I am also looking forward to the reversal of your decision cos I really had to post in the sport section during the match but couldn't. Imagine how I felt. Have a pleasant night. Tipsydude. ps: please do not assume this new id is as a result of the ban. you can check up the date of joining to confirm. |

@ Debosky: You are the best man. Wow it's good to be back again. You've proven beyond all reasonable doubt that one can achieve a lot by being direct and blunt while being polite. Rock on Mod. @ others: just in case anyone gets banned i'll suggest you present your case properly than to go about insulting the mods. they've got their duty to perform. now Newdude can go back into the cryogenic chamber and hibernate until wheneva. |
