The Beginning Of The End Of Nigeria. by mekaboy(m): 11:59pm On Jun 10, 2017 |
We have all read and watched the Kaduna Declaration, asking Igbos to vacate the Northern part of Nigeria within 3 months. As usual, it is turned to the usual Afonja IPOB joke . Yorubas blaming Igbos and Igbos blaming Yorubas. We can joke all we want, but this matter goes beyond Nairaland IPOB Afonja Fight. That few minutes video you watched can destroy this nation completely, if the right steps are not taken. By the right steps i mean arresting everybody involved in that declaration, trying them in court and putting them in prison . This needs to be done urgently to convince Nigeria of this administration commitment to a united Nigeria . A Musician said in a song " We dont need peace, but equal right and justice" . However, when you have equal right and justice, that is only when peace is guaranteed . Lets get down to the real implication of this declaration . The place where such a declaration will have a negative effect is within our security agencies . In the army , police etc, Nigeria is your religion and ethnicity. No matter where you come from or your religion, as long as you are in the army, Nigeria comes first . This is why people from the south will be sent to the North to fight insurgents and they willingly go and risk their lives. This is because Nigeria is the number one goal. Nnamdi Kanu is Igbo, Nigeria allged that he committed a treasonable offense and he was arrested and jailed. Even after courts granted him bail, he was still detained. Like i said earlier, in the security agencies, Nigeria is your number one focus. The DSS have people from both the north and southern Nigeria. Even Igbos in DSS would gladly arrest Nnamdi kanu of their ethnic group to protect the interest of Nigeria. There was a clash the other day between yorubas and hausas. Even the yorubas in the police, gladly went with officers from other regions on instruction and allegedly rounded up the yoruba youths and put them behind bars. They do this for the interest of 1 Nigeria, thats why they are called the Nigerian Police and Nigerian Army . People from the South as soldiers, risk their lives in the north fighting to protect the integrity of this nation . How then do you expect southerners in the security agencies to feel, watching a group of people in the North asking people from another region to pack their stuff and leave the north, after all their sacrifices ? The Igbos in the DSS agreed to arrest Nnamdi kanu, because of 1 Nigeria. The yorubas in the police agreed to arrest their fellow Yoruba after the clash with the Hausa. All because of one Nigeria. Then some group can wake up and make a declaration asking Igbos to leave the North and nothing happens to them . How would you expect the southerners in the security agencies, who have arrested and detained their own for Nigeria to Feel ? Do you want them to start wondering if the sacrifices they make to defend Nigeria is worth it ? Do you want southern officers to begin to withdraw from fighting insurgents in the North ? To prove to Nigeria and the entire world that the federal government is committed to the 1 Nigeria project, All those who are involved in the declaration "MUST" be arrested and tried in court. If this is not done urgently, this could become something greater than Both Afonja and IPOB imagined . This could actually set this nation ablaze . We should all with one voice ask for the arrest and trial of Arewa, else it will be cheating on the southern Nigeria . It will also show that the Agitation of the IPOB and other groups are justified . |

After they slipped and revealed their feeling they have been spinning it around saying 500 northerners were killed in the south and that Igbo or SE threatened the northerner in the past. All those are just afterthought, if only 3 northerners where killed in the south, they would av circulated the burial picture by now to spread their usual hate. |

Nnamdi was captured in the SW. No one had a say on his prosecution. The same SW that he does not hesitate to insult when he can. By the way, why isn't your anger directed at Nnamdi. I did not see you speak out against him now, or even when he was spreading his campaign of hate. Now things have come to a head and you are shouting for DSS. Face the northerners and don't drag other southerner's into this. Also face Nnamdi squarely for dragging a whole tribe through such embarrassing situation. I read the thread where you asked what Nnamdi did for a living. I am sure you are still waiting for the answer. If that does not cause you the most shame, then I don't know what you are saying on this thread. I am beginning to think this Biafra agitation was a blackmail scam gone wrong. 4 Likes |

baby124: Grow up man. I did not drag the yoruba afenifere chieftains into this. When the called all southerners to return home, they have looked beyond your nairaland play ground. You will be shocked when the effect of the silence of the DSS begins to take a new dimension. |

mekaboy: The same new dimension some have been trying to warn u against, when u'll were insisting on biafra!? It could never end well. But, d reality is, most pple from d SE/SS, can never leave 'well enough' alone! Unfortunately, sometimes, it brings about rapidly spiralling situations, in d negative direction. It can only take divine intervention to resolve all these without altercations! PMB is needed back, asap. The same way he stood up to El Zakky, is d same way he might have to defuse this! 1 Like |

ashjay001: This not about Kanu or Biafra. I am not a supporter of Kanu or Biafra. You can't have peace without justice. The way Kanu was treated for inciting statement, should be the same Arewa should be treated. That should be the bases and foundation of one Nigeria. |

The failure of ohaneze and igbo elders to caution Kanu on his hate broadcasts like some prominent Northern elites did some days back is what caused the problem for you igbos you want to eat your cake and still have it.. it won't work 2 Likes |

Alariwo2: This is why we remain third world. In developed countries their law is supreme. Once it is violated, you face the music. Here someone has committed an offence against the state and your here blaming ohaneze. So if an armed robber is caught in the act, he or she should be let to go free, because the parents did not train him well? This is the thinking of a backward nation that can never move forward. |

Nnamdi kanu might have bn known for his hate speeches but do u see d igbo man asking any1 to leave the SE even all protests n method of agitation hv bn peaceful till security agencies meddle in it. Even in biafra, other tribes r welcome. But as usual d barbaric n violent tendencies inherent in d north wont let dem be as they r urging to show it. Remember this is 2017 not 1967 |
Re: The Beginning Of The End Of Nigeria. by ashjay001(m): 8:14am On Jun 11, 2017 |
mekaboy: Unfortunately, in Naija today, some tribes are more equal than others! Read an article yesterday, d entire north, with zero contribution to d national purse, gets over 54% as allocation. Has more members in d house of rep, 191members. Right now, we're reliving animal farm, n arewa is with d pigs! Life is never fair |

I doubt if those youth that appeared on TV will be arrested, the venue that they used will not be sealed off. We had the chance in GEJ to do the needful but blew it shamelessly. |

mekaboy: Even in developed nations, d law is never supreme. They always find a way to take care of their own, that doesnt mean I support it! Take d US, immediately, members of d white race started committing more drug crimes, they lessened d punishment accurable. Despite blacks being less than a fourth of d population in d US, they make up over 50% of incarcerated inmates! 1 Like |

mekaboy: Do to others what you want done to you.. your elders and kings can't be cheering Nnamdi Kanu on his hate broadcasts and you expect Northern elders to condemn their youths for asking you hate filled lots to leave their lands How does that sound to you? Be honest with yourself |
Re: The Beginning Of The End Of Nigeria. by mekaboy(m): 10:20am On Jun 11, 2017 |
Alariwo2: Where is their land? If the North is their land, how come they control the oil in another land far from theirs? Let them be treated the same way Kanu was treated. This is not a blame game but call for action. You said do to others as you want to be treated. If they put kanu in prison for his action, then they should be treated the same. Please go and play elsewhere. Since u have refused to grow. |
