Is Now Very Obvious That Nigerians Are In Love With Cameras… by Nwaforchigozie: 8:02pm On Jun 12, 2017
Just within hours, Nigerians raised millions of Naira for the family of late Owerri hero cop, who fought gallantly against the bank robbers. Well, I’m not in any way against their support to the family because it is very important, since we are living in a crazy country. But I also think that we should go beyond that…

I guess Nigerians reacted immediately because the incident was caught on camera, and Nigerians saw the horror these men go though every day while protecting us. But do you know how many security officers that die every day fighting for this country, and yet nobody talks about them, or are they not heroes? well, maybe because they are not caught on camera.

Nigeria needs to make the salaries of our security men very attractive, and provide a good structure that will cater for the families of these officers in case any thing happens to them in the line of duty.

If we get our security system right, Nigeria won’t be far again from the promise land. So Nigerians, let us not be carried away by the cameras, life starts from the inside out. Is not about doing the right thing every time, sometimes we have to do things right. A word will always be enough for the wise…. @donsainto
