State prosecutors in Spain accused Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo of failing to pay $16.5 million in taxes on Tuesday.
Madrid’s regional state prosecutor accused Ronaldo of four accounts of tax fraud between the years 0f 2011-14 claiming the soccer player “took advantage of a business structure created in 2010 to hide from fiscal authorities income generated in Spain from image rights,”
.The prosecutor accused the Portuguese player of declaring just $12.8 million earned during the three-year period when Ronaldo’s actual income was about $48 million.
