In a sane clime, the police would be paying through their nose in damages for this mistake. The guy is jubilating instead of suing the Nigerian police. *Sigh*. |

sarrki:It is not their fault, that what police have as Evans pictures, if you read the paper there is a lot of doubting, because it is difficult for to have his real photo. All description they got fell on him.. most of his gang don't know him one on one.. he bear Evans in underworld while he answered real name in legit world.. |

He could be tempted to sue the reporters like someone suggested, generally speaking that sounds good. But don't forget that it wasn't his own doing that exonerated him of the allegations. I suggest he thanks God for his Vindication and let go. If he had been killed before the real person was caught, he wouldn't come back to life. Pls lets learn to be grateful to God. |

Sue the press?? How are people reasoning like this? You all read there that it was the police that gave the wrong image of the suspect for publication when they declared him wanted. You expected the press to first go and confirm if the picture was correct? From who exactly? Why didn't the man whose picture was wrongly published protest all this while? If police arrest you based on mistaken identity, the only thing they owe you is to release you. Nothing more. |
