dainformant:
This man in the picture is whom the Nigerian police published his pictures as Evans before the arrest of the real notorious billionaire kidnapper. The man identified as Tochukwu Ambrose Onwuamadike is from Akaboukwu Uruagu Nnewi, a Nigerian businessman based in Angola and bears the same surname as Billionaire kidnapper, Chukwumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans.

According to multiple reports, the guy has been jubilating over the arrest of the real Evans since the news of the arrest was broken.

The kidnap kingpin Evans hails from Akamili, Umudim Quarters in Nnewi, Anambra State...

In a sane clime, the police would be paying through their nose in damages for this mistake.

The guy is jubilating instead of suing the Nigerian police. *Sigh*.

It is not their fault, that what police have as Evans pictures, if you read the paper there is a lot of doubting, because it is difficult for to have his real photo. All description they got fell on him.. most of his gang don't know him one on one.. he bear Evans in underworld while he answered real name in legit world..

Re: A Businessman's Picture Mistakenly Published As That Of Evans The Kidnap Kingpin by MARYchiells(f): 11:06am On Jun 15, 2017
He could be tempted to sue the reporters like someone suggested, generally speaking that sounds good. But don't forget that it wasn't his own doing that exonerated him of the allegations. I suggest he thanks God for his Vindication and let go. If he had been killed before the real person was caught, he wouldn't come back to life. Pls lets learn to be grateful to God.

He is so lucky his case is not like that of an innocent man who spends 17 years in Kansas prison for crime likely committed by lookalike with similar first name.

Sue the press??

How are people reasoning like this?

You all read there that it was the police that gave the wrong image of the suspect for publication when they declared him wanted.

You expected the press to first go and confirm if the picture was correct? From who exactly?

Why didn't the man whose picture was wrongly published protest all this while?

If police arrest you based on mistaken identity, the only thing they owe you is to release you. Nothing more.
