A fire incident has been recorded at the residence of former number two citizen of Nigeria, General Oladipupo Diya (rtd).

It was gathered that the inferno occurred at the house of late General Sani Abacha’s second in command on Adekunle Fajuyi way, Ikeja, Lagos.

As at the time of filing in this report, officials of the Lagos State Fire Service are battling to put the situation under control.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Mr Fatai Owoseni, was spotted at the scene of the incident.
