she look flushed,her cheeks were beet red in anger.she gripped the door handle and yanked it open.gesturing him to leave, gosh he muttered to himself he had really behaved like an asshole,he shouldn't have accused the dead father,he hurriedly switched to the apology mood
"am sorry tash,i never meant to loose my temper,i shouldn't have accused your dad," ramsey stared into her eyes,they were turning misty,he cursed himself for making a lady cry.
"am sorry tash pls, may i sit?" ramsey could swear he saw temper fly through those beautiful blue eyes in a split second,and was replaced by what ramsey would call forgiveness.
"uhm,am about to go to the lab to see my dad........" tasha said closing the door and leaning against it.
this can't be happening ramsey thought why would rick ask her to see her dad on the dissecting table!

"tasha i don't think thats a good idea,....i mean you seeing your dad on the lab table,like an animal about to dissect,think about it..." ramsey implored
tasha sat down and gave him the'i think your making sense look' before getting and began pacing the sittim room,
"i think your right,gosh why didnt i think about it before,but am curious about something,why would rick arrest your dad,?" tasha asked hoping she put it right..

"i don't know too,i suggest we go down to the station and ask rick,i honestly don't think my dad is capable of murder," ramsey said hoping to high heavens that his faith in his father is worth it,
tasha shrugged and let her shoulder slump,

"i need to take my bath,help yourself with coffee," she walked into the bedroom leaving ramsey alone to his thoughts.

See Kim sha... Most times, when I write people don't drop comments. But I just rely on people's view. Then, I had a blog, so I see the way people stream down to the blog and search results. That gave me hope.

What I used to do is to know why people are not dropping comments..
And these are probable solutions.

1. Like Lleigh does( I will buy an e-gun to scare her one of these days), she would repeatedly mention you on each post update. People are following numerous stories, so they don't always have time to check for update. But upon being mentioned, they read it and drop comment or just pass by. Yet, it's effective to an extent.

2. I understand you might be using small phone etc... But you need to take a great effort to capitalise the beginning of each sentences. It's called optics on it's own. That would make readers see it as a potentially good stories.


You are not overreacting. This is a norm for every writer on Nairaland and I'm happy you've gotten to this stage. It's that point of frustration that many would fall into and make them start growing. Nevertheless, some people just die down there and that would be bad for you, the readers, and your work. So as to avoid totally sinking in the deep sea like the Titanic, just dust yourself and keep writing, lift your head up.. Meanwhile my boss, Audreytimms had written almost a full page like 32 posts before someone dropped a comment, now the story has more than 100 pages.


Let me go through your thread and see what I can do to help with structure. God help us.

I am new on nairaland and I had the same problem. I saw the popular writers had loads of views and comments. I had none.
So I went to these stories to find out why and figured out somehow they all knew each other.
It was like a party.

I then started watching people who read my work and who didn't comment. I would then mention them in the next update.

It's disheartening, but my question to you? Do you love writing? If yes then continue.

Don't stop.

It's more painful when you take time out of your day to write.
