In my opinion, I think Evans should be prosecuted not just for being a kidnapper but for also being a fool. How the hell would you earn up to a million dollars and still continue kidnapping? If na poverty make am start am, if na capital him dey find to do business him don get enough to stop that useless and risky kind of business sef. He deserved to be hanged not just for being a kidnapper but for doing so with pleasure and unapologetically even. I am even amazed that some unscrupulous elements are beginning to clamour for his release on the basis that he's no worse than some of our politicians who have allegedly looted the country's funds near dry and still walk around freely but by releasing him what are u teaching our jobless and unemployed youths? What message are we passing across? Hmmm...your guess is as good as mine. The only basis on which he may be spared death is if he can refund to his victims their monies but come to think of it, what about those he killed? Can their lives be refunded? How about those families he plunged into poverty today by giving away their life-savings as ransome for the lives of their loved ones who he abducted? I heard he charged as ransome, up to a million dollars! Imagine!!! Most of his victims being his own brothers (Igbo men). The funniest thing even was that his wife with whom he had 5 kids living with him in the same house claimed not to know that he was a kidnapper, that the highest money she'd ever gotten from him was 200k. Wow!!! Now they're all crying and begging for his release. Imagine!

On a final note, I am in the support that he be prosecuted according to the law so as to serve as a warning to those who are also in this dastardly act. And for those who will say "what about our politicians too..." yeah, let us start with kidnappers, politicians will be next.
