Why not use the power you used in "defeating " them to take back Ilorin from them.
Aren't you aware that the present Emir is a Yoruba man. Emirates occupying a place meant for traditional king is the issue here.

Ibrahim Zulu Gambari is Fulani, just like the Sarakis.
The day he will come out and claim Yoruba will be the end of his reign on that throne.

The cardinal spoke well
But you use references which buttress your point... Alimi ilorin saga doesn't in this scenario

The fact that I have an English name doesn't make me English. The fact that they've Yoruba names doesn't make them Yoruba.
That's exactly what Pa Saraki said.

The truth is that the Fulani jihadists having succeeded in taking Ilorin through treachery decided to test their treachery beyond Ilorin but they were bravely pushed back, mind you there was nothing called Kwara state in those days, having had their way in Ilorin doesn't mean all other cities and towns around Ilorin and under present day Kwara state is under the control of the Emir. You really need to see the hostility and animosity towards Fulanis in Kwara. Have you ever heard of Herdsmen misbehave in Kwara before. They park well in Kwara.

The emir self has been yorubanized.I doubt it if he can speak fulani self.

Some of you igbos are so ignorant that it ain't even funny. Ilorin was never conquered in any battle. The city's inhabitants willingly accepted the emirate system in line with their strong Islamic affiliation. The city was never conquered nor subdued in any battle as you and your Ilk would like to paint and believe. Afonja had already lost the confidence of his ilorin Yoruba muslim brethren by the time the fallout between he and Alimi occurred.

In 1895, the Yoruba rose against the then emir, burnt his palace and killed him. But the revolt did not result in enthronement of a Yoruba king -- it certainly would have if those Yorubas that perpetrated this act were under bondage of emirate oppression and domination, as you like to paint it.

In 1913, when Lord Lugard administered the northern and southern Nigeria, Yorubas again spearheaded a riot over tax to bring the rulership of the then emir to ridicule.

In 1936, the Yorubas of ilorin yet again ousted Emir Abdulkadir who was banished to Kaduna but was later reinstated by the colonial administration.

For all intents and purposes, the emirate is a mere traditional institution that exists only because ilorin Yorubas (not even the entire Kwara folks sef) still chose for it to remain, as the above history shows. You people just talk crap about what you know little to nothing about.

I think anyone group can cite examples as to why they're not this or that. But stereotypes are what they are. It's when a part of a story is picked out and the others thrown in into the bin. I'm sure those who will agree with Yoruba not being cowards will agree with Igbos being lovers of money. It's the same crime, it's just that when you're at the receiving end of the stick you start churning out what proves contrary to the accusation.

Anybody devoid of tribalism will agree that Jonathan's regime was fair to everybody. The only problem some of you had with the presidency is that he took away the powers of people who had an overwhelming grip on the country's commonwealth. Just because for the first time, Igbos were made to feel like Nigerians again, it became a problem for some of you. it may even interest you to know that there were actually more Yoruba appointees in Jonathan's regime than Igbos and infact there were way more Hausa/Fulani appointees than everyone else. They were only sad that they did not have the overwhelming grip on the country like they currently have with Buhari in power. Sometimes, i'm forced to support the call for disintegration of the country because some of you are just incorrigible and it's nauseating to say the least. The country is not yours to determine what happens and that is why we've been calling for true federalism so that everyone can answer their papa name and APC rode on that, only to get there and change their dance tune from jazz to apala.
The internet never forgets.

But since I was born I have never heard Yoruba's ever wanted to be on their own... Even Hausa/ Fulani once wanted to be own their own.... I repeat, coward are those who can stand on their own and chart their course

Yoruba can only fight for what he believes.
1. We believe In NIGERIA
2. We believe in regional governance.

Nothing else outside this.

Yoruba are still cowards, let the agitate for Yoruba nation and make their-self great like Japanese,Biafrans, Germans etc, when you are afraid to face responsibilities, confronts issues and call a spade a spade then you are nothing but a coward.
Yoruba did not send Jonathan packing but the north did, when you hide from the truth and always play the game of double standard and always sit on the fence waiting for the winner to emerge then I can that the person is an unmitigated coward and has no future.

Who doesn't know Saraki to be a politician, he uses those lines in his political transactions. When he needs Yoruba vote, he is Olusola and when he needs Fulani vote he becomes Abubakar. He himself has traced his lineage to Saki in Oyo state. Yoruba speaking part of Kwara state were before now under the Oyo Kingdom.

Liar liar pants on fire.U started chanting Biafra when power was taken out of ur hands in 2015. Btw after all your rants and leading your own kinsmen to death in the course of protests, one would expect u to welcome the Arewa ultimatum with open hands but you are all still here crying about victimisation while your leaders are prostrating for the common northerner pleading they should have mercy on your souls. Who are the cowards now? You all are all talk and no action.
It seems you are from moon, igbos have been fighting for Biafra since 1966, but lay low all this years because we are powerless as the northerners hold the ace in nigerian
