BACKGROUND
The YOUNG LEADERS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA
A. K. A Nigeria Youth Forum is a youth-led, youth-driven initiative founded by Mr. Ezekiel Oladimeji to awakening the consciousness of young people towards taking their destinies into their hands politically, economically and socially in Nigeria. Presently we have over 7000 members across the 36state including the FCT and still counting; our target is to get at least 10, 000 in each state by the end of 2017.

To create a society in which an informed and active citizenry(youth) is sovereign and makes policy decisions based on the will of the majority.

MISSION

To build democracy through activism, education,empowerment and collaborations.

WATCHWORD

We are not thugs. We are responsible youths. We will not fight with the government or go against the constitution. But we will make our voices heard in a constructive and matured way through dialogue if need be.

Code of Conduct
1.Ensure the integrity of the group
2. Criminal or divisive activities are totally prohibited
3.Ensure no intervention of any political party or politician or lured by money to influence our goal.
4.Ensure funds are not singlehandedly donated by one individual to run the group.

OBJECTIVES
1.Increase and support youth participation in political activities, governance process and sustenance of democracy.
2. Identify, mobilize, organize, engage and position our youth to be economically empowered.
3. Promote and advocate for social inclusion, social justice and peace building.
4. Foster linkages and partnership with key stakeholders.

TARGET GROUP
The target of this movement is focusing on the age grade between 18 to 35 years. Also, Honorary membership will be given to those between the ages of 36 to 55. We welcome all members and oppose discrimination base on race, ethnicity, religion, physical disability and sex.
