Facebook boss 'Mark Zukerberg' made this in a statement released in his personal facebook profile's timeline on Tuesday June 15th, 6:40pm. He stated that progress is being made in connecting the world together with the internet. Here's his official statement;

As of this morning, the Facebook community is now officially 2 billion people!
We're making progress connecting the world, and now let's bring the world closer together.
It's an honor to be on this journey with you.

This new milestone shows that Facebook is no doubt the world most popular social media network.
