“As of February 2017, he had an estimated net worth of US$12.4 billion. Dangote is ranked as the 67th richest person in the world and the richest in Africa.”

I know you must have read much about Dangote’s chains of flourishing businesses spread across Africa and beyond. There is equally no shortage of literature on the secrets to Dangote’s wealth.

Indeed, Dangote’s is an astute business man with high sensibility and skills of an apex entrepreneur.

But I want to point out just one other thing.

While the world attributes his riches to the union of companies he owns, Dangote will in his heart ascribe the source of his wealth to you.

Dangote businesses consist mainly of manufacturing 11 consumer goods. Each of these products is produced in millions of units/tons daily. And you know what? All of these are manufactured with only the consumers in mind.

Why are you this important?

Production is not complete until it gets to the final consumer. The customer makes the final decision to patronize or ignore a brand. Dangote’s business is dependent on your patronage.

He needs your loyalty as a customer to remain at the top. In the customer is not just a king but a creator, the customer was decently revealed as a creator.

Every business will ultimately rely on customers to create effective demands for their products and services.

That is the only way to survive in business. If you are looking for the real source of Dangote’s wealth, then enter the markets.

There you will find people buying the products manufactured by Dangote Groups. Those people are the true sources of his wealth. It is the money from their pockets that make up Dangote’s wealth.

Forbes Magazine may not have mentioned the customers in their description of Dangote’s wealth as it were. But that will never change the fact that the customers are at the center of the likes of Dangote’ and their riches.

We are writing this for one reason. Customers must always appropriate the right values to themselves. Customers must carry themselves with well-deserved dignity. You are the soul of every business conglomerate. And that can never be written off.
