A 30-year-old Enugu indigene, Anayo Isaac, has cried out to the government and good spirited individuals over his worrisome health situation.

The cry comes as his desire to spend the rest of his life in sound health remains doubtful since he was diagnosed with ameloblastoma disease

Isaac, who hails from Obollo Eke in Udenu local government area, is a graduate of biochemistry from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).

He had undergone two surgeries both at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla and the Atta Memorial Hospital, Igbo-Etiti, which cost N3 million but to no avail, before he was referred to India for treatment.

He said that the disease was diagnosed in 2009, the same year he graduated from the university and, since then, he had been seeking for financial help to enable him get treatment.

To ensure that Isaac did not die of the disease, a non-governmental organisation, Give Hope to Hopeful, has taken his case to the Enugu State Government House for financial assistance.

The group displayed placards with inscriptions “I am an orphan. Be my helper that I may live again,’’ ``We will forever be grateful for your assistant. We are from Enugu state and know you’re a kind man His Exellency’’ and ``I have the zeal to live. We plead for your love Sir. Extend your hand to give me a second chance.”

A letter the group addressed to the governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, reads: “Dear Sir, SOS For Anayo Isaac. They say that charity begins at home for which reason this letter is addressed to you. From your actions and carriage, you have shown signs of being a humanitarian, one who is eager to ensure that his people become better.

“It is with utmost regret that we introduce to you Mr. Anayo Ugwuaba Isaac, an indigene of Obollo Eke in Udenu LGA of Enugu state. Mr Isaac is suffering from what has been diagnosed as ameloblastoma.

“Ameloblastoma is a rare kind of growth or tumor that starts on the jaw near the wisdom tooth or molar with an increased swelling that can be damaging to the brain. It takes the form of acne.

“At the moment, Mr Anayo has had two unsuccessful surgeries causing the less than average family to spend all their savings. The doctors then recommended he travels abroad, India specifically, to have a more precise surgery.

“The surgery, including logistics, will cost millions of naira, part of which has not been raised. Nigerians have continued to make donations but are yet to reach the amount needed. It is for this sole reason that we seek the assistance of the state Government to ensure that this exciting young man does not go cold from this tumor. We will definitely be highly encouraged to have your support.”

He urged Nigerians to help him through
