Jaydenjohnson:Lol...if Nigeria was thinking outside the box, would the country be how it is now? There's thinking outside the box & then there's thinking realistically. They go hand-in-hand sometimes. You should think realistically! I'm a proponent of thinking outside the box, I'm very unconventional & unorthodox ....in real life & on here. Go through my posts & get an idea. But I will tell you without flinching, in Nigeria we don't like to think outside the box & so I repeat that I don't see how this will affect Nigeria much cos all the petrol-run car's will be shipped in here & Nigerians will continue living life without wanting to change anything. It's a cycle! 1 Like |

sagaxity: No mind the guy. If he truly said all these then he must be one ideologically-driven joker This line is what got me thinking the most Cities will ban human drivers once the data confirms how dangerous they can be behind a wheel. These are the kind of people that manufacture data to fit their ideology. We all see cars everyday. We know exactly how dangerous a man can be behind the wheel. So what is the data all about? With the way hackers are operating nowadays I wouldn't drive an electric vehicle with anything remotely connected to internet. Before somebody control me enter inside lagoon. I know fate of the furious exaggerates in its portrayal but that is not too far-fetched. Before you know they will be recalling cars cos its too vulnerable to hacking. Na so Evans go just jejely hack your car drive you enter him mansion. 1 Like |

While other countries have been planning ahead for the day oil will no longer become the primary source of energy, we continue to thieve and spend like this oil and its demands will be here forever. It's only a matter of time before Nigeria goes bust. |

EvilMetahuman: Because the cost of the car has been subsidized, by means of a Policy. How about the cost of the re-charging infrastructure? It requires a policy for a subsidy. Can a President who was a businessman advocate that? Can people drive the car to their village? |

sagaxity:You better believe it.... Electric cars are already on the rise globally. China pays its citizens subsidy to go electric ; Australia, Germany, the Eu in general and California is a perfect example of hoe to make EVs a success.. With these trends it is only a matter of time before it comes knocking at your door step. |

Benekruku: Stay there and be consoling yourself, have you asked yourself why there is drop in demand for crude oil which is already affecting the countries mentioned in the article? check what is happening in venezuela for example..... wake up and stop living in delusion! first picture is electric vehicle charging station in brazil (one of many) have it in mind that brazil is also an oil exporting country but they are already thinking forward and keying into the future. second pic is one of many electric stations in canada third pic is on of many in germany and across europe (the pic is from berlin) fourth pic is from Maui (CHECK YOUR WORLD MAP AND SEE WHERE MAUI IS) a very tiny island off south america. It is a top tourism destination, hence they are keying into the future so as not to lose their tourism revenue. 2 Likes

LOL, very soon all this our oyel mentality will soon die off. Ppl falsely taking credit for producing the oil but in actuality doing nothing other than lazily sitting under the mango tree sipping Sapele water; while looking down on others and calling them parasites will they themselves soon become the next parasites, begging for unity much in the same way their next door noisy cousins are presently doing - karma is a b!tch, the greedy wicked trap catcher is going to be caught by his own trap. 2 Likes |

Jaydenjohnson:Lol.....wishes are different from reality. You think if I could 'wish', Nigeria won't be a better country? Going by your wishes, it's freaking 2017 & yet a simple thing as us having steady electricity still feels like rocket science. Do you not provide light for yourself by buying fuel in your generator? Is that what you should be doing if things were working right in the country? NO! but you & millions of Nigerians are doing it & have taken it to be normal. Do you have good health care services? Even if you have, millions of the population don't & everyone's living like it's normal...cos it has become normal & the earth has not fallen. The Paris climate accord signed by several countries in 2015, serious countries have ways to regulate their carbon emissions & test vehicles for these emissions with a target year to have a target percentage achieved. Nigeria is a signatory (lip-service) to that accord & nothing serious is being done on ground & it's all normal & even YOU are living without a care of it cos the environment has made it normal. Now, you're coming to tell me ' if I don't have an idea of what's being discussed' I should forget it. 20 years from now, if you're still in this country, I can guarantee you that you'd still be driving a petrol-run car & the heavens won't fall. You know why? The environment would see it as normal. I repeat, be realistic! A country like the U.S. for instance, even folks in their 20s have probably never seen a manual-transmission car talk less of driving it yet there are still manual-transmission vehicles all over Nigeria today in great numbers. You know why? Countries like U.S. discarded those cars & Nigerians embraced them. That's exactly how its going to be for a long time till we realize we're ' carrying' last. So stop acting like in 8 years time, Nigeria will be shut down cos western & Asian countries will stop making petrol-run cars. It's a cycle we've seen over & over before & nothing will change until we change ourselves, our environment & our thinking. Till then, my friend....I've told you that the heavens will not fall in 8 years time cos Nigerians have built a 'cycle of norm'. Be realistic! |
