With the enormous opportunities digital space has provided us to reach out to our targeted audience quickly and faster, it beats my imaginations why the small and medium Scale Businesses/Companies are not leveraging on it, mostly in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Here in Nigeria, you will hardly find Small and Medium Scale Businesses or Companies that has provisions for Monthly or Annual Budgeting for Social and Digital Marketing. They take social and digital marketing for granted, Funny enough it is the multinational businesses and companies that are taking digital marketing seriously; they are everywhere on digital space.

MSNBC REPORTS
Major Brands such as Coca-Cola, Smirnoff and Unilever’s Dove are creating online Video Campaigns that rely on world of mouth, often generating million of views – for far less than it costs to place ads on Televisions.

In today's world almost everything happens online, a lot of people are living online spending most of their time surfing via their mobile phones, computers, tabs/pads than watching TVs, listening to Radio, reading News. And also we are using it to hook up with old friends, meet new friends, interact, source for information. Etc
Teenagers, youths, professional, nonprofessionals, male, and female, any type of demography that you need to reach are on the internet. And the good news about it is that you can reach them wherever they are, they don't need to move an inch, turn on anything to watch, or to listen before they can get to know about your brands, your products and what you do or even buy from you.
In this 21st century and in future to come, social media and digital space or internet generally, which now makes the world a global village, is and would be the easiest, fastest, cheapest, and best ways of doing business globally. It is never too late, take advantage of internet now to establish your brands/companies, your old or new products, sell or buy, market, advertise, promotes, meet and interact with your audience, use it for communications and higher customer care service, as market research, publicists, lunching of new products, press release, campaigns, entertain and engage old / new customers, give away, competition, monitor your competitors, use for political campaigns. Etc. If you don't no how it works, consult professionals, engage professionals, outsource it to agencies. There are cheap starts up agencies that can handle it well than you think.
