Dam5reey: When I saw the bolded I knew the responses to expect, you can see people listing products he wasn't interested in. Even 1m, can't get DEYE of 5kw. @Op that amount will get you Sako 6.2kw with accessories and installation. Then just to buy battery and panels na remain. |

Xanderone: Na spirikoko installer , maybe him go turn 2 batteries to 4 batteries. Same type of installer go tell you say no need for audit, your inverter can power heaven and earth. 1 Like |

Good day people, I intend to install a 5/6kva hybrid inverter. I have attached the quotation received from my installer. Just wanted to get remark about the adequacy and reasonableness of this quotation from knowledgeable folks and experts in the house. I welcome any advice, suggestions, comments. Is it advisable to combine a particular brand of inverter (eg GOspower) with a totally different brand of lithium battery (MARSTEK)? While my installer quoted 1.7M for the battery, I did some research and found the contact of the main dealer of the battery in Nigeria. I could get it for 1.2M directly from their office in Ogba. However, the hybrid inverter of the same brand (MARSTEK) cost 1.2M and they're not willing to reduce the price. They advise buying their inverter and battery together but completely optional with a caveat though - that combining my battery with a different brand of the inverter voids my warranty (10 years), as they cannot vouch for the performance of the inverter I would use if it's not from them or one of brands they've tested. They sent me a list of other brands that their battery is compatible with, however, the prices are ridiculously high compared to theirs. Is it worth taking the risk to go ahead with the quotation given to me by my installer? I don't just think I want to buy an inverter of over 1.2M. It's a lot mehn.

Nutridelfarms: Your installer is on point, he is taking full responsibility for sourcing and warranty claims, that is not an easy task.. do it yourself to gain experience anyway! Since you are a Semi DIY, Buy the inverter and batteries from them, but you are on your own you will have to liaise with Marstek if anything goes wrong. And let the installer do his installation job if he is still willing to. You can combine inverters and batteries of any brand with no issue, A batteries Manufacturer should not use that as an excuse to void the warranty, it is a bad sign. You should be fine if you maintain their recommended charge and Discharge profile. they should have gone ahead to tell you that your load also may void your warranty 11 Likes |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nutridelfarms: 5:30pm On Jun 11 |
Dam5reey: Thank you for your comments. You're right about the installer taking the warranty up in case anything happens but that doesn't justify unnecessary mark up in the price. Increase in the price, fair enough but let it be reasonable. Honestly, money is not easy to come by these days. It's hard to cough out this much and I'm sure you understand. I want to optimize where I can and where possible and feasible with sacrificing quality. I am open to a win-win option that works fine for myself and the installer but he doesn't want to bulge on the prices, hence, the need to procure the materials myself. |

Nutridelfarms: Buy battery from Felicity or Sako. Or buy from Valto or Isangjohnson. Best wh/# on the market rn. Use the money you saved from the battery to buy more panels. 1800w is nice but in six months you'll be wishing you bought more panels, trust me. 3 Likes |

Nutridelfarms: Alright, just as posted earlier today you can go for the setup below: Almost Double the Panel Size for the same amount: 5KW Inverter, 5KWH Batteries and 3,330W Panels LFP batteries at least 5KWH 48V for a start, 1.2M Marstek you already source. Hybrid inverter SAKO/WELION 5KW 48V with MPPT at 500K max. Solar Panels 6 units of Jinko 555watts, 960K Accessories and installation about 440k To make 3.1M total 2 Likes |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nutridelfarms: 7:45pm On Jun 11 |
HeavenlyBang: Thank you . What's the downside of installing 1800W in 6 month? Not an expert but asking out of curiosity |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 7:50pm On Jun 11 |
Nutridelfarms: Panels are never enough. There'll always be the burning urge to increase your panel array. Also, in this rainy season, 1800w really won't give you optimal service. I installed a 1740w array months ago and I'm already thinking of expanding it. |

Good evening, Looking for where to get a sturdy standard 19" server rack. The ads on Jiji in Lagos are deceptive and nothing to write home about. If anybody has a source or sells, kindly quote me please; something like 18U Thank you |

QuoteJust1nce: I got a 22U rack over the weekend for about 275k (which seem to be the common price in computer village lagos) an 18U should be slightly cheaper. I would find the contact of the seller and post it. |

Be careful with the various batteries in the market. Most people are out to sell without minding what happens thereafter Many relationships broken just because of bad batteries Let the experience of dealers with good referall be your insurance even if its a little costlier. You can assemble your solar and get good brands with Guarantee on our website: https://shopwise.com.ng/shop-2/28180/ |

HeavenlyBang:25kw lohun lohun... You are not nice sir 🤣🤣🤣. Based on his existing set up plus coming from 4 tubular batteries. A 5 to 10kwh battery sud suffice for him since he wasn't complaining of his previous battery setup. |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by tivta(m): 9:45am On Jun 12 |
Peterlove11:Then he will need to increase his solar array to fully charge the battery |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 10:05am On Jun 12 |
Drgreatone: See many load wey he get na Anyway, I'd say a 10kwh battery should be just about enough. Maybe 15kwh if finances allow, though he'd probably need to increase his pv array to around 6kw. |

Good morning all,my friend that went to china he sent picture of this battery,if he s should buy it
|
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Peterlove11: 10:18am On Jun 12 |
tivta: I think what mostly determines pv array needed is your daily energy consumption......I don't see someone needing more than 6kw pv panels if your average daily energy consumption is 10kwh. Even 4.5kw pv is ok. I might be wrong 1 Like |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 10:50am On Jun 12 |
HeavenlyBang: As na only battery e wan upgrade.... 5 to 10 wud suffice. Anything above that and he has to also add to his existing panels |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 10:53am On Jun 12 |
Peterlove11:I think it depends on size of battery, ow fast he wants it charged and then weather condition. |
