omotoda: It gets to 28.2v then drops immediately to 27v (according to someone here, that's the floating charge).... When it stops charging at about 18:30 within an hour it drops to 26.1v (but it will be on 26.1v for 4hrs with 2tv's, soundbar, 2 laptops, humidifier and few light points on) shut down all appliances by 00:00 with just a light point on and in the morning it's on 25.5v.... If pes is on then 25.7v when turned off by 00:00... I complained to them that it was discharging but they said it's normal and battery is fine... In all, no other complain, been managing it judiciously... 1 Like |

Dam5reey1:beautiful installation. I am trying to upgrade to a 48v system and I am trying to get a 6kw inverter. I am wondering which is better between this growatt and a sms or welion inverter of the same capacity. Tried scouring the Internet for comparison videos but didn't get a satisfactory one |

redgem: Wow! It means it drops to 20% state of charge based on the load. I guess your load should be around 500watrs.If so,then its fair. |

redgem: Considering conversion losses and the fact that one can't be sure of the true capacity of the cell,it's still fair. |

Enyinne: The maths behind it. 51.2V 100AH, Capacity is 51.2V x 100 = 5120wh or 5.12kwh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwo9f8ugNzo 1 Like |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by BigDickProblems: 2:07am |
Tekenny: Do the maths yourself Bro. Add up all the watts you have there and multiply by how many hours you want to run them. And see if it’s equal to 2500Wh or not. 1 Like |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Enyinne(f): 5:37am |
Thanks so much . This explains one given a higher quote of extra $400 compared to others .She quoted 5kwh 200Ah 51.2v ,not knowing that means 10kwh. ![]() If it's 5kwh lithium lifepo4 battery I want to buy for 24v set up,what size of hybrid inverter should I be expected to buy ? Dam5reey1: |

Tekenny: Yes you are right. Add an extra panel if you hope to carry those loads during the day and also hope that your battery gets full before Sunset. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nteogwuija(m): 9:21am |
Tekenny: This is my setup. Although my solar is 1050w combined. I have a small fridge that's 65w, it's on for 10hrs. I have a laptop of 45w. I unplug it once it's full. I have a 50inch TV. My wife uses the TV during the day. I use it mostly during the weekend for Premiership and when there are Champions league games. I have a 12w router that's always on 24/7. I have 2 AC/DC fans of 30w combined that's on most of the time. There are lighting points, some are on from 10pm to 6am for security. |

maklelemakukula: Except he wasn't explicit in his list, but the installer I went with got me more for less but I still ended up having issues. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by burnerr: 9:32am |
Obnoxious2001:Most likely, the issue came about after I tried using grid to charge the inverter (which I honestly did not need to do) |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 10:28am |
Nteogwuija: Counter-intuitive. It's not like your laptop is drawing power to charge its battery when it's already full; all you're achieving by doing is putting more cycles on your laptop's battery. |
